I love using wilton food colors on fondant and buttercream. they always turn out the way I want. For radiant colors there are just tricks on how to achieve it no need to put a lot of food coloring

Gel for the win!

This was the first time I've tried gel food colouring and I'm never baking with liquid colouring again! It seem a bit pricier when buying the gel but for how little I needed to use in order to get the desired color, this little jar will last a very long time. I used "Rose" for frosting and the result was bold, very professional looking and it didn't change the consistency of my frosting at all. Will definitely be buying more colors in the very near future.

These are so good!
1) You need so little to get the impact your going for compared to regular food colouring
2) available in any colour imaginable and sold in convenient value packs with many colours
3) won't alter the consistency or flavour of whatever you add it in

I've used it in cake batter, icing and cookie dough with great results in all of them.
Definitely a must have for flashy cakes and beautiful decorations.

I love baking and I love decorating baked goods even more. I like to use fluffy white frosting (Betty Crocker) so that I can add colouring to it.

I have a few different brands of food colouring but I really liked this one from Wilton, it's more expensive but I found they worked extremely well and I loved these colors, magenta, orange, teal and purple, so pretty. These made my cupcakes look super cute.
