Perfect for pretend-play and costuming

I’ve always been impressed by Spin Master's various toy collections and new releases. I expected more of the same from this Wizarding World Magical Collector Wand, but surprisingly found myself let down. This line features collector wands from major Harry Potter characters and are meant to be (I presume) decorative collectives. They’re offered as blind boxes, meaning you won’t know which character’s wand you’ve received until you open it up to be surprised. My nieces were disappointed to have received Ginny Weasley’s wand, particularly as she’s not really a main character in the series. The wand itself is around 12 inches and seems to be made only of plastic. I honestly thought there would be a bit more heft to it – I think I was distracted by the “Die Cast Icon” label on the front of the packaging. I just assumed the wand would also be die cast metal of some sort. It also comes with a display base/stand and a corresponding die cast icon that’s unique to each character. In the case of Ginny, it was a mini Arnold the Pygmy Puff accessory. All this being said and my disappointment over the materials aside, my nieces did have a good time playing pretend with the wand and acting out various spells that they had picked up from the movies. I think this is a great addition for role-playing and Halloween costumes, but it falls short as a purely ornamental collectible for HP fans.

The quality of plastic is nice and detailing job is well done. Apart from that it doesn’t provide any additional functionality (sound/light). My kids played for short time. It will be nice to carry with a theme-costume.

Perfect for Harry Potter fans

The toy product I received to test was a Harry Potter Mystery Wand. The wand my daughter received was Hermione Granger! It came with 4 pieces, two of them needed to be snapped together. It was easy to put together and assemble for her. It came with a die cast of her animal (the cat) which is my daughter's favourite animal! The wand itself is made really well. It is heavy/ solid, has intricate designs on it and can be placed on the stand when not using/ for display. This is perfect for us because we just started reading Harry Potter books. One suggestion for improvement is having a solid/ heavier stand because the wand itself is heavy and can be tipped over easily. Otherwise, this toy wand is perfect for any Harry Potter (mini) fan.

My kids love sharing my passion

We love reviewing toys and new things to play with. My boys got so excited to get a wand to play with and cast magical spells. They love that mom has a replica one of her own and now they can have their own too. We are Potter a heads in this house and have so much fun creating adventures and make believe stories!

I absolutely love this! I'm keeping it for myself as my kids are too young. It's such a cool unique collectable as it's a fun surprise you don't know whos wand you are getting until you open it. So excited I got Harry Potter's!!! It's so much fun not knowing who you got until it's open. I love the quality. I'm going to make my husband make put up a little bookshelf in our room to display it. Awesome gift for any Harry Potter fan young or old (14 years plus)

Love that these wands are a surprise!!! Adds to the fun for sure. Super well made, great details, very authentic. Durable and fun for all ages. Only problem is they want more now!!! Great gift idea for any HP fans to create their own mystical magic.

I received the Wizarding World Harry Potter - Magical Collector Mystery Wand for free in exchange for an honest review. I got the Sirius Black version! They say the wand choses the wizard and I think it read my mind! Out of all the different wands I would have picked Sirius anyway! Our household is a long time Harry Potter fan-house (adults and kids included), there was SO MUCH excitement opening the mystery wand and the fact it was random – made it even more magical!

First off, the actual wand and package. It’s packaged in a beautiful box with a display base and iron medallion. The 12 inch wand is surprisingly sturdy and heavy, unlike any other plastic toys you might have seen. The fine details on the wand itself is amazing, it creates a real touch that this is a “real wand”. It’s great to have the display base but I doubt it will be used very much (the wand is being passed around the house constantly and has been my 9yo’s sleeping buddy for the last few nights).

Play time! Parents beware, you might run into things being “broken” on purpose :) just so the kids can say “REPAIRO”. It’s such a joy to see the kids running around doing “magic” on each other. My favorite is when my son keeps asking me what needs to be repaired around the house. So far my washing machine, toaster oven, and my master bed has been magically made and done! Let’s see what else can he fix around the house!
100% buying each one in the family another mystery wand box for Christmas. I can already picture the new 2023 Christmas photo with all of us in our HP outfit and Magical Collector Mystery Wand! 10000% would recommend if you have any Harry Potter fans in the family!

No longer a muggle

OMG I have never been more excited to review an item in my life!!!!
I received the Wizarding World Harry Potter - Magical Collector Mystery Wand for review and I was over the moon! Being a huge Harry Potter fan I couldn’t wait to get this open and see who’s wand I received! All wands are a mystery until opened and there are 9 different ones you could get (Harry, Dumbledore, Hermione, Sirius Black …just to name a few!). Each wand is a replica and looks pretty spot on from the movies! They are weighted and come with a little base to stand them in and a die cast iron of the characters magical creature which was so neat!!
I got Neville Longbottom’s wand and the die cast was Trevor the toad! My kids had a blast putting spells on each other but I’ve completely claimed this “toy” as mine! I will definitely be buying more until I get Harry Potter’s wand because really why not!?!
