Beautiful Candle, Interesting Scent

Received for free in exchange for an honest review.
My impressions:
-at the very first sniff I could tell someone tried to create a coniferous forest scent. However, to me it doesn’t smell fresh or natural, which I was kind of expecting because I had the Yankee Candle Lilac Blossoms and it smelled like real lilac flowers.
I did not smell anything from the top notes:
-Crisp Citrus (was the reason why I chose this candle, but nothing citrus about it)
-Herbs (ah, not really? Just pine scent)
-Red Berry (this candle might not smell sweet at the first impression, but a bit later (after burning for some time), you can feel deep sweet smell, think of sugar dissolved in hot water. I did not smell any berry sweetness.
From the middle notes, I could really feel the attempt to recreate Pine (not really Pine Balsam, it’s not deep enough; but that surface level pine scent is very clear). Felt some Cedar and little Sandalwood scent.
From the base notes, I could feel light Vanilla, Warm Amber and Musk.
I waited for just a little more than 2 hours until the entire top
layer became a pool of liquid wax
from edge to edge. The room
smelled like hot wax, and once that
initial wax smell goes away there was
a deep cedar/woody smell, a little sweet too.
After burning for two hours
the candle developed a richer smell.
The pine scent became less noticeable, while cedar and sweetness got deeper.
4 stars because I feel like the recreation of pine balsam could’ve been better, but everything else
is great. I really like the beautiful shade of green glass that can be reused after, the size, and of course the materials used.
The reason why I wouldn’t purchase this candle is the scent specifically. It’s very subjective of course, but I would recommend it to those who might enjoy it.

Great fragrance for people who love the outdoors!

Candles are my way to relaxation every day. The smell, and burn time of this candle is absolutely amazing. We travel a lot to our Rocky Mountains, and after lighting this candle I could just see the mountains, trees and rivers in my head. The woody fragrance is just the right amount. If you enjoy bath and body works candles, you would definitely love this candle! The jar is even aesthetically pleasing!

Smell like comfort and Forest

I received the Yankee Candle in Balsam and Cedar and instantly fell in love. As soon as I light it, the room fills with a fresh, woodsy scent that feels like a peaceful walk through the forest. The blend of balsam and cedar is cozy, calming and perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere. It burns evenly, lasts a long time, and isn’t overpowering. A perfect candle for cozy days and quiet evening.

A relaxing walk in the forest

I was gifted this Yankee Candle in the scent Balsam & Cedar to review. I really enjoy the scent, it’s very woodsy and reminds me of taking a walk in the forest. It’s a very comforting scent. The smell is strong but not overwhelming. I would love to use this candle around the holidays as it reminds me of Christmas trees. The candle burns slow and the scent lasts a long time. I’m very impressed with the quality and scent of this candle.

This candle is absolutely beautiful! Its tapered glass vessel matches my decor perfectly and it smells fantastic! It's infused with essential oils and makes me feel like I am on a peaceful stroll through the woods.
The tapered base means it fits perfectly in my favourite marble pillar candle holder.

Almost perfect for me!

What I especially love is how beautifully this candle is designed. I’m obsessed with green tones, and this rich, deep color adds such a cozy and aesthetic touch to my space. It’s not just about the scent—it looks stunning too.

It burns slowly and evenly. I’ve been using it daily for over a week and it’s still going strong, which speaks to the quality.

The fragrance itself is beautifully layered: you get that fresh burst of citrus and herbs at first, followed by the heart of balsam and cedar, with a warm, slightly sweet base of amber and vanilla. Personally, I would prefer the vanilla to be a bit less sweet—but that’s just me being picky! Overall, it’s a comforting, grounding scent that feels perfect for evenings at home.
