Not frozen anymore tastes bad

You wouldn't think that making them refrigerated instead of frozen would ruin them but they are so bad. They were good and now they taste dry and rubbery and like they've been frozen and unfrozen multiple times. I tried putting them in the freezer to see if that would change things but no. It's sad because I genuinely really liked them :(. I and many other people I know have switched to a different company (not allowed to say which one) or buying real chicken nuggets. A lot of people I know eat partially vegetarian and vegan so they would be switching to the real meat option.
