I have tried making pie crust using butter, i have tried with shortening and with lard. Out of them all I find pie crust made with tenderflake lard is the best. It makes a decadently flaky pie crust every time. When it comes to pastries Tenderflake lard is my number one choice.

I bought this brand at the grocery store because I could not find the usual brand that I know and love. As I was cooking it into the ground beef it looked delicious. After tasting the prodjuct it had an unusual and unappealing flavour. Will not be buying this product again.

A product I love and continue to buy. We all have those days where we don't want to make things from scratch. Maybe we don't have all the ingredients we need or we're in a rush in the morning. These are perfect! Just need water, eggs ( or egg replacer in my case) a bit of oil...

Bob's Red Mill Canada Gluten-Free Old Fashioned Rolled Oats are fantastic and make great oatmeal. They make for an easy, hearty breakfast, especially on cold winter morning. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been baking with yeast for a long time now and recently started using Red Star and I am so pleased with the results. It has much finer grains than what I used to use and a less "yeasty" taste. It foams and rises beautifully.

I like Duncan Hines cake mix, unlike Betty Crocker it does have better quality ingredients if you compare their list of ingredients . It can be pricy sometimes but I buy it in bulk when it is on promo at loblaws, 2 for $4 is a good deal. Good value for money.

I buy Sunsweet Raisins because they are organic and they are sweet and juicy tasting. They come in a two pack at Costco and are a great value. I use them in muffins, loaves and sweet breads (cinnamon rolls)

The packaging is adorable! The best part: the flour is very finely milled and seems wonderful, but I haven't used it for baking yet. For keto, it's the lowest carb count I've been able to find. Overall very satisfied for the price!

I add Colman's Dry Mustard to a variety of sauces that I make to go over meat. I also use it when I make homemade macaroni salad to spice up the wet sauce a little.

I also use a little bit of Nabob Steak Spice from time to time if I don't want my seasoning too spicy. It is a ground mix of onions, peppers and oregano, basil etc.

I bought this Pesto Mix from Victorian Epicure (home party business) and found that I used it a lot. I added it to my bread machine to make pesto french bread, made pizza sauce with it and added it alfredo sauce to go over hot pasta.
