This place has the greatest service and ambience. It's a gem in downtown McHenry IL. The food is consistently delicious! The presentation is beautiful, portions are plentiful. We have an out-of-town friend who insists upon going to Bimbos EVERY time he visits us, because it is that good. The view over the Fox River is very relaxing and the decor is very understatedly beautiful. The building is a bit small, but this makes it all the more quaint. We have always gotten an excellent table during the week. I have heard that the wait is long on weekends --but this shows the popularity of the place. The parking can be a bit tricky sometimes with other downtown businesses sharing street parking spots. The prices are a bit high--but for all things considered---it is worth it.
