In the heart of kitsilano tucked under a few boutique shops is a wonderful little spa by the name of bloom essentials. When you walk in you are greeted by their very friendly staff and amazing products that the company both uses and recommends. I've been to some spas where the staff has a 'holier-than-thou attitude' ... not here! They are wonderful girls to be around who really know and love their trade. The ambiance is super chic yet comfortable. Their pedicures in particular are to die for. You sit on a bed made up with wonderful cotton sheets and rest your feet on pebbles in a delicately scented foot bath. From there, a wonderful foot/leg massage and the chance to pick out your nail polish/art (I always prefer the bloom-style pedicure where they draw daisies on your toes) and relax... a bonus: if you go there with girlfriends you get to sit on a huge bed together... I went here with a stagette group on one occasion and they served a bottle of wine that we brought and handed out cupcakes (also brought by one of the bridesmaids). All in all, a wonderful experience!
