Oh dear. This is the dirtiest nail place I've ever been to. I know it's cheap and you get what you pay for but this place was filthy. Dust and hair all over the floor (they do hair services and are apparently in need of a broom!) and an awful overpowering smell of nail products.

I brought my Grandmother and cousins here when I was in Winnipeg because we were trying to spend some time with her and cheer her up because my Opa passed away. I didn't know where to go because I haven't lived there in awhile and many of the nicer places couldn't accommodate 5 of us at the same time. My aunt had been there before and thought they gave decent pedicures so I made an appointment for 5 manis and pedis for 2pm.

They must have been worried we wouldn't show up because the day before, they called me to confirm if we were coming. I told them we'd definitely be there. We arrived at 2pm to find 3 people just starting to get pedicures. This meant only 2 chairs available for the 5 of us. I asked about our appointment but they pretended like they couldn't understand. "Yes, Ali. Ok! 5 people!" It was clear we weren't going to get to sit together. So half the group stood and hovered around those of us getting our nails done first. The last person, my sister in law was still getting her nails done an hour later when the rest of us were long finished. That's what we were trying to avoid by making an appointment!

The sign outside said it was $30 for mani and pedi but they charged us each $35. I asked about the posted price and they again pretended not to understand, motioned the owner over who said. "Oh, that must be taxes." $5 is not the amount of tax you pay on $30. Most places charge only GST, which is 5%. Even if they charged PST, it would've been less than $4 tax in total. I didn't argue. Wasn't worth it, but I find that kind of stuff annoying.

In the end they did a decent job of our nails. But the filth of that salon and the fact they don't respect appointments means I won't be back.
