MUST SEE KRYSTEN!!

I have been searching for a salon where I ONE stylist can do both my Color and cut and styling for me. I have been to many high end salons in Yorkville where I get passed around between stylists and never completely happy. I had been reading reviews online for qi salon and came across the name Krysten. So I thought I would try her out, as she has so many glowing reviews. She sounded to be skilled in all the above, like a well rounded stylist. After seeing Krysten I have to say I have never been SO PLEASED with my hair before!!!! First of all she knows allot about hair! she's not rude like allot of stylist' but genuine and down to earth, she seems to really care about you and your hair.
I think what I enjoyed the most about my visit, was the time Krysten took to explain what she was doing and ASKING ME WHAT I WANT!!!!! And MORE IMPORTANTLY SHE LISTENED!!!!! She explained the look I wanted was achievable or parts not so much, and what I had to do to maintain it. For the first time my hair was my choice! Because of Krysten's help I understood what was happening. She is so passionate, you can tell the way she talks to her clients that she LOVES what she does! Truly an AMAZING experience. My hair has never looked better!!!! I will, without a doubt RECOMENED EVERYONE to KRYSTEN!!

I am definitely not a fan of having my hair cut.. I was the person who got it cut once a year and dreaded every moment of it. Recently, I had been looking for a hair salon downtown toronto as I was not very happy with the lady I currently had. I was referred to Qi by a girl in one of my classes and after reading the reviews online decided to book an appointment. I have now just had my second appointment in 5 months and am very confident with the service that Krysten had provided me. Not only does she have a lot of knowledge and takes the time to explain what she is doing and what she suggests but listens to what you want and actually follows through. She also went out of her way, staying extra time on a Friday night to ensure I had exactly what I wanted and was happy!! I am now confident when I go to get my hair cut and am looking forward to it as opposed to before when I was dreading it ! My mum is moving downtown next year and when she is looking for a new hair dresser I will definitely recommend her, and anyone else to Krysten and Qi Salon.

I found this salon walking along King street on rainy summer, purely by chance. I was looking for hair place to fix ruined haircut. Every time I was asking for volume in other places, it was like "sure we can cut it and for volume you need it real short". I ended up with military cut, which made me depressed every time I looked into the mirror. Kristen was the only one, first in ten years, who told me truth: to get volume on you head, you need hair (hard to believe, right). She never promised immediate results, rather discussed a plan with me. The plan included gradual cutting some hair and cutting it in a way which allowed to create at least illusion of volume. Let me tell you, the products they use are amazing, hair looks healthy after coloring, and hair loss stopped too! Thank you Kristen! I am not retired army sergeant anymore!

I just wanted to share with everyone what an amazing time I had at Qi Salon! I was staying at the King Edward for a friends wedding and need my hair done. I called the morning of to the salon Downstairs, I was sceptical because I have had so many bad hair do's in the past. From the moment I started talking to my stylist I knew she got me. She gave me an amazing vintagey looking updo, everyone was asking all night who did my hair. I have never felt so pretty, or complemented.
I thought everyone needs to know! By the way her name is Kristin and EVERYONE needs to see her!!! she is so nice and listens to you, this girl works magic on your hair! Thank you again Kristin!!

Thank goodness I found Krysten at Qi salon ! She is my hair angel. The first thing I noticed was how well she listened to me and my concerns/wishes and formulated an awesome plan to help achieve the results I desired. She pays excellent attention to detail and has extremely thorough knowledge of color, cuts , treatments and hair management! I have relocated temporarily for work but I come back app. Every six weeks to see her and have her work her magic. I would recommend her to anyone anytime!

The service I received at Qi was fantastic! I was in the salon at a quieter period and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The interiors were clean and sleek and I especially liked that I was offered an IPad to browse on.

I went into the salon for a fairly complicated colour correction. My stylist, Krysten made sure to explain all of the steps and processes as to what was happening. She had quoted me a price beforehand and stuck to that price quote. The way she explained everything, it was very obvious that she took great pride in her work. She worked very hard and by the end of my visit I was extremely pleased with the results--both colour and cut. I would recommend both Krysten and this salon to anyone who is looking to try something new. The prices align with any other salon in downtown Toronto (but you pay for quality quite honestly), but what drew me there most of all was Krysten. I have been a client of hers on and off for many years and I knew that I wanted to go to someone I trusted completely before attempting a correction like this. I was very satisfied and will gladly make the trip to the city to go to Qi.

I walked in for a wash and curl when I was in town about a month ago. It was great, the girl I saw was great. Great customer service, it was a very nice place. Everyone was so helpful and very accommodating. I will be back when I'm in town again

I came across this salon last week, I was curious as I walk by this location every day. I was
greetedwhen I walked in my a sweet girl with short straight black hair, I think her name was Kristen. I had some questions about shampoo and she more then helped me out. She was very educated and not only helped me find something (which by works amazing for me)
she also explained how to use the product in my hair and showed me how to blow dry my hair!! her help that day really did the trick!!
I have never had someone spend that much time listening to me and explaining how to do my hair!! she' s
such a sweet girl and really knows her stuff!! I will be back soon for a haircut!! I'm very happy I stopped by, I have definitely found my new hair stylist!

I had my hair cut and coloured by Krysten-Ashley at Qi - and wow, she is amazing! She has done my hair many times now, and I have never been dissatisfied. She does really cool updos, too. She takes extreme care finding out what you want and recommending what will look best on you. She's creative, and you can tell she really loves what she does. I think she used a new Goldwell colour last time that's supposed to be really good for your hair, and I absolutely love it. I'm never going to anyone else. Oh and the salon itself is really nice - there are iPads for you to use while your colour sets, and they always offer espresso. Definitely go there. And definitely see Krys.

About a year ago, on a recommendation from a friend I starting going to Krysten for my cut and color. She did a faboulous job! I've never had so MANY compliments in my life!!!! I literally got compliments daily for several months. It was actually embarassing, my husband said that I should have done my hair like this years ago... but I didn't know Krysten years ago.

So, needless to say I was a bit concerned when I heard that she was moving to a salon further downtown. I followed her there! Thankfully this place is just as convenient since it is so close to my work. I love it here, very nice staff, nicely decorated and wonderful perks like cappuccino and ipads!

I recently saw Krysten to do an updo for a promotional event during TIFF. I wanted something Hollywood Glamourous that was still classic and dignified and she exceeded my expectations. I felt beautiful!

It's almost time to get my colour done again - I'll be seeing you soon Krysten :)
