I had the opportunity to go to Red Deer Alberta for a couple of days. I stayed at the Sheraton. It was a good experience. The room I stayed in was newly renovated, so everything matched, was clean and well equipped with the services I needed. One thing I forgot to bring with me was toothpaste. The hospitality person heard me say to someone else that I forgot my toothpaste, so they pulled open a drawer and gave me enough packs of toothpaste to last my trip and then some. The other nice thing they did for me was they replaced my key card for my room twice. My key card did not work, so instead of me having to go down to the lobby, they came to my floor and I met them at the elevator and then they gave me two key cards just in case. The pub at the hotel was great fun and friendly. The food was good too. The people who manage the hotel made me feel like part of the family. I was travelling alone and it felt like they were looking out for me. It was an all around good experience.
