Let me first warn you that this review may not be helpful to you. Why? Because I eat the exact same thing each and every time I visit Mercatto. I've actually never tried anything but these two things: orecchiette for my main and then tiramisu for dessert. (The one time I've gotten something different it was disgusting (pizza) and it was at the Bay and Adelaide Street location.) The orecchiette is so delicious, sometimes I crave it and just have to convince one of my friends to go with me to eat it after work! A lot of the time I get a snobby waiter, but that's fine with me because I'm not there to make a new friend. Here's a tip: they'll give you individually wrapped breadsticks as your table bread…you can ask for actual bread. Just ask, they don't mind. And it'll taste better than picking bland breadsticks out of their plastic wrapper. Enjoy :)
