While it’s a lot of fun to receive a bag of goodies every month and I could see myself easily getting addicted to it, I don’t see how this subscription is sustainable for one person, but maybe a group of 7-8 friends would make good use of it.
I have also been thinking a lot about what else can be done with one’s beauty and make-up regimen with $10 a month. What if a user spends that amount on a product she researched? It would increase your beauty budget to $120 a year, for which you can not only get enough beauty and makeup products to replace what you have finished using (if even, in some cases), but can consistently buy high-quality and personalised products with the help of highly trained cosmeticians.
So although I would love to receive a monthly little gift as I am sure many of you would, as well, I can’t recommend the Ipsy Glam Bags.

I have been an ipsy member for a year now. I love getting a bag full of new things to try, and the makeup bags themselves are so cute! I love my ipsy so much! It's a little more in Canada (about $20 total) with the exchange and shipping, but if you price out the items, you're still getting a good deal. Every time you review your products, you increase your chances of getting items that you'll truly love.
Cannot say anything bad about this!
This beauty place, has been amazing to me. Very sleek cosmetic bag with very awesome products so far. I enjoyed the deals you can get from the different products and it suits me from my eyes to my nails.. thumbs up for also the cheap subscription...
I intend to subscribe again in future though some of the products were repeats or just not the right shade for me. I did score some great scents, eyeliners, blush, and brushes but I felt as if I was 50/50 on the satisfaction scale. The fun part was getting a surprise each month and an awesome makeup bag to boot.
I have been using ipsy for two months now. So far it's pretty good. It does seem to be a luck of the draw though. I have gotten some products that do not suit my skin tone and some I won't use also ( but they'll be add ins to gifts) and my biggest issue is the make up bag EVERY month.. Who needs that many? Lol but I've been able try some great new products for a cheap price. If you love make up go for it! I gotta say it's the best subscription box I've tried.
I just received my first bag a few days ago and love it. I also received a few gift for joining. Every thing I got I can use, if I get things I will not use I can give to my niece. I am looking forward to my September bag. I am so glad I joined.
I've been signed up to Ipsy for about 4 months now, and I do genuinely love it. I've just recently started getting into make-up, so I signed up in hopes of broadening my knowledge of brands and beauty items. It's been great for that, as I've found quite a lot of smaller cruelty-free brands that I never would have found otherwise. I've gotten a brush in 2 out of 3 bags, which is ideal for me since my collection is so small. They've also sent me some products that I never would have picked up for myself, but wound up absolutely loving. It's really helped me dip my toes into the beauty world, and I've been enjoying that a lot.
The only downside I'd really complain about is the price tag. It's advertised as being 'only' $10 a month, but that's $10 American - which, with taxes and shipping, adds up to about $19 Canadian every month. I'm finding that it's not always completely worth the money - it really depends on what samples you get. Sometimes they'll send a full sized product that works out to cost roughly the same as the bag, other times you end up spending more for some samples you could have picked up at Sephora. It's luck of the draw.
I love IPSY, they give you products to try that you normally wouldn't purchase on a first bases due to the price. I got into wearing blush because of IPSY. I just wish the offers were available for Canada. There is so many things I'd love to purchase extra but it wont let me which is a bit of a let down.
I've been subscribed to ipsy for a year and a half now and I am extremely happy with it. I always get at least one or two products that I absolutely love each month and end up repurchasing products quite often. There are some products that don't particularly work for me so I just give them to friends or family which makes them happy as well. The last couple months I have also noticed that ipsy is sending out higher quality brands like Urban Decay or Too Faced, which is a great sign for things to come in the future. Oh and i can't forget their amazing point system that lets you earn points for reviewing your products, and then cash them in for full size products. Ive redeemed points for a liquid eyeliner, a concealer and a mascara, and still have points left over.
