The Solar Robot Kit teaches kids about mechanics and energy conservation while keeping their minds entertained for hours. The plastic pieces are compatible to building well over 14 moving designs. The small solar panel connects to the engine via two simple cables, that can be added for movement to any design. The small and intricate pieces are a bit of a hassle to keep track of, but not worse than any lego collections I had to deal with. Creations are MUCH more durable then Lego when its dropped. A big bonus for frustrated kids wanting to play, instead of rebuilding after inevitable accidents.

This kit is intended for ages 10 but it needs alot of adult assistance to complete!!!
The pieces are hard to cut off the molds and frequently require that you trim the extra plastic bits. The instructions are visually appealing, but not nearly detailed enough to assemble the main engine and solar panel for a 10 year old.
