    50 shades of nope!

Nope!! I think that the only reason this book series blew up as much as it did was because there wasn't much in the genre out there at the time and E. L James had a good publicist. This book was horribly written and did not represent that "alternate lifestyle" very well. It glamorized an mentally abusive relationship and the characters were way to codependent in my opinion. There are a bunch if authors who write in the same genre (ie: Sylvia Day) that, when you read them, you won't feel like your IQ has dropped. I bought the box set thinking that these books were going to be fantastic. I wasn't impressed by the first, I hoped that the second would be better and that James would have picked up a few writing tips after the first but I was wrong. The third, I only read because I already paid for it and felt that I had too but, I barely got through it and it took me about a month to read. I normally read a novel this size in two days. I would not recommend this series and would tell you that if you liked this genre then you should read the Crossfire series instead.
