This one definitely stretched my budget. I would be sugar coating it if I said it was a little pricey, it's a lotta pricey!!!! That being said though, you definitely get what you pay for. This is the only stuff that has stopped one of my cold sores in it's tracks! It's been years since I've had to deal with a cold sore longer than a day or two because this shrinks them before they become a big, dry, inflamed eye sore. And a little goes a long way, thankfully, so it's definitely worth the splurge!!! This stuff is a lifesaver
I never get cold sores but my hubby and my youngest son get them and they are nasty. this stuff works amazing quick time. love it
Sadly let's face it most people at least get a cold sore once or twice a year, doesn't mean it's bad a thing, it's just part of nature but can be really irritating.
I've tried different brands that claim to heal cold sores and I have to say Abreva is pretty good.
The first day the cold sore was already half way gone and second day the cold sore looked almost gone.
I think maximum days to heal are between 2 1/2 days to four days.
The price, well I will be honest it's quite expensive for a small tiny bottle and I wish they would make it larger, though you may only need to use a tiny bit but still.
This thing costs between 14 to 20 dollars a pop but you can get it on sale and might be able to get a coupon to use once in awhile.
Over all the quality of the product is really good and does work really well.
What do you think, have you tried it yet?
This product works well if you use it before the cold sore actually breaks out, when you are just feeling a sting.
I recently got a cold sore and figured I would try abreva but unfortunately it did not work for me. I was pretty disappointed because it is a pricey product that I have heard good things about. It seems to work for everyone else however it did not for me so I will not be buying this again.
Last week I had the unpleasant occasion of getting my first cold sore. I didn't realize how unsightly and how painful they could be. Of course it would happen when I had a special function to attend. Believe me I was beginning to panic, but asked my pharmacist what she would recommended. She said try "abreva". I was skeptical but bought a tube. I was doubtful that it would work in time. I noticed an almost immediate improvement, in reducing of the burning and itching. The next day I could actually notice an improvement. Within 3 days it had faded away. Well worth the price ($19.99). You use such a small amount , being sure to completely cover the infected area, and repeat 4 - 5 times a day. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is suffering from a cold sore.
This product works well but as soon as you open it the product starts coming out even when you aren't squeezing the tube. For the money it costs, too expensive in my opinion, you waste more than you use. they probably do this on purpose so you have to buy more. When you have an ugly cold sore though, you really have no choice, but this problem makes me angry because I am low income and can't afford it.
