I've had my iphone 5 for two years now and its still in pretty good condition. The only issue where I had to go fix it was when Apple noticed their was a flaw with the lock/unlock button. They fixed it for free which was great on my part. Out of all the iphone genenerations, the iphone 5 has the best shape in my opinion. I love that its flat, weighted and sleek around the edges. I've dropped my phone at least over a hundred times. Theres a few dings and dents, but no scratches on the screen or anything. Its quite the durable phone. The only downside to this phone is that it cannot withstand really cold weather. Even if I have full battery, if its too cold outside it will automatically turn off. It sucks but I can live with it.
I've had the iphone 5 for 2 years now...and while I've had to get it replaced under warranty once, and I've dropped it in a puddle more then once and then threw it in a bag of rice to get it dry and working again, and the battery life is terrible and I usually have to carry an extra battery pack for it.....it's lasted 2 full years! Horray! :-P
The build quality on the phone is quite good (compared to the new iphone 6 that just came out). I've sat on it multiple times, dropped it (in it's case) many times and sometimes without it's case...and it has big gouges out of the metal rim but that's it. Hope it'll last me a bit longer, since I am unimpressed by the iphone 6. I guess if I had to upgrade, I may go with the 5s and skip the 6 altogether. :-P
Great upgrade from the iPhone 3G for me but it is pricey. I like the quality of the pictures it takes. I really like the white face over the black. The speed of it is much better as well.
Qutie expensive, a little fragile, but very user friendly. I find I get a lot of dropped calls however I can't say whether it's the phone or the service provider.
I absolutely love my Iphone 5. I think it's super easy to use and I much prefer the touch keyboard to that of the Samsung galaxy and I think the Apple brand has great staying power. I plan on using my phone for many years to come because although Apple constantly brings out new versions of the Iphone, the changes are mostly cosmetic or so minor that it doesn't inspire you to trade in your current version every time a new version of the Iphone is released.
Love this phone. Faster then the 4 and 4s and the battery life is much better. Takes excel tn picture as well
I like the iPhone 5 but I wish they wouldn't keep releasing new versions so often.
Have had my iPhone 5 for 6 months now and absolutely love it!! Pretty much everything I do on my laptop, I can do on my phone, which comes in handy when i'm on the go. Even with the new ios update, I would still recommend this phone!
I wanted the iPhone 5 badly enough to pay an early upgrade fee from my telephone provider. I was so excited at the new features it included, and the new bigger screen. It is supposed to have a much faster processor, honestly I don't notice much of a difference but I did not have any complaints about speed using apps. Unfortunately the reception I get on the iPhone 5 when it comes to phone calls is much worse than the 4s I had before, or the 4s my husband has. Also the battery life is WAY less, lasting only 4 hours on a full charge if I am using it for anything, and a full day MAYBE on standby. I am very disappointed in the reception and battery life and would therefore not recommend this phone. When it came time for my husband to upgrade he went to an android phone instead.
