Doesn't hold interest

I was excited to try the Bakugan Platinum Power Up S4 toy that I received for free from Spin Master and Family Rated but this one just wasn't a hit with my boys age 8 and 5.

The 5 year old found them too complicated to transform on their own and while they haven't broken yet, the two smaller toys made out of plastic feel like they are going to break soon. The metal toy was a bit more interesting but again, too complex.

My 9 year old was able to transform them but had no interest in these. He said they were less exciting than Pokemon and had zero interest in getting more of these to learn the game.

Maybe these would be good for kids aged 6-7? These held no interest for my boys unfortunately.

Great for a child that already plays Bakugan

We were very excited to be chosen for this Family Rated Product Review. My boys have watched the show a couple times but do not have any of the toys so they were excited to be able to try on out. Product itself is packaged very well did not arrive damaged or dented. With that being said my boys lost interest in this toy after a few minutes. They tossed it around but then left it. There are no instructions on how to put the toy back into a ball, or instructions on how to 'play' a game with this (if that's what you are supposed to do - not really sure). If came with cards and tokens but no actual instructions on what to do.
If your child is a Bakugan fan and already has some of these toys then I think it is a great toy for them to add to their collection. However, if your child is like mine that has never played with these, then not sure if its for them. Instructions would be very helpful with knowing what to do.

Confused

We have never had Bakugon toys before, we didn’t know what to expect. My kids thought it was cool that a ball flips open when it goes over a metal surface, but what are the other 2 balls, what do they do? How is the game played? There is no direction or instruction on or in the package. Maybe because this is an expansion pack? This is probably great for someone who already knows the game and how it works. My kids have fantastic imaginations and just do their own thing. I don’t recommend buying this unless you already know the game and how it works.

My boys were excited to see this bakugan! We thought all 3 balls went together and after reading the packaging a few more times realized that wasn’t the case. My boys still had fun rolling these bakugans around the house. And as my youngest says “these fit in my pockets so perfectly!”

Bakugan

This toy is a bit challenging to play. Once you figure how to get it to work it is better. My boys are 8 and 10 and it’s a bit difficult for them to get it but once you figure it out it isn’t bad.
