This is an excellent reef friendly mineral SPF 50 sunscreen for kids. Goes on easy and dries clear. This formula is water resistant, making it an excellent choice to take anywhere.
It does not have that thick sunscreen feel or smell. It is absolutely perfect for any skin type and most importantly it does the job.
Sunscreen is the most important step in skincare, so make sure you choose a good one like Blue Lizard.

Blue Lizard Kids Spray SPF50 is an Australian sunscreen specially formulated for kids. This SPF 50 protects skin from 98% of UVB rays, offering powerful but gentle sun protection for children’s delicate skin.

It sprays on a fine mist of sunscreen in a white creamy form. Once applied with the spray, you rub it to spread it on the body and face. It absorbs and dries clear. It does not leave any white streaks or residue.
There is no smell at all to this sunscreen as well, which I was nicely pleased with!

Quick and Easy

This will be our new go to sunscreen. The fact that it is a spray means it is super fast and easy to apply. The kids also find it fun to get sprayed on. It also didn't leave any sort of irritation which is sometimes tricky with my kids eczema. Everything about it is a win-win!

Blue Lizard Sunscreen

I’ve been using Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen lately, and honestly, it’s quickly become a staple in my skincare routine—especially for outdoor days. What first got my attention was the packaging (yes, I’m that person who appreciates smart design). The bottle changes color when exposed to UV light, which is not only cool but also a great reminder to reapply.

It offers broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, and it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin. I like that it dries clear after a few minutes—no greasy or ghostly finish. I also appreciate that it’s described as reef-friendly, since it doesn’t contain Oxybenzone or Octinoxate. That’s a big win for me, especially when I’m headed to the beach or planning to swim.

I was gifted this Blue Lizard kids SPF 50 mineral sunscreen to test out in exchange for my honest review from @thisisbutterly and I love it! You know some caps are really hard to get open? This one is a piece of cake!! It smells fresh and absorbs instantly. I’m a huge fan of this brand - I always have a face spf stick in my purse and now this will definitely be joining us at the beach!

Absorbs quickly

We are loving this product! It absorbs so quick you don’t need to rub it in. The only time I rubbed it in was if there is a white spot left but even then one rub and it’s gone. No greasy feeling, no irritation on any of my family and we are all fair skinned and sensitive to smells. Highly recommend!

Lizard sunscreen for kids

We love this sunscreen! I have never heard of it before seeing it on butterly and now I’m going to look for it at the store to buy. First thing I noticed is that it doesn’t have a strong smell. My 7 year old can use it herself and it sprays evenly and doesn’t come off think and oily. And branding does wonders cause my daughter wants to use it cause of the lizard on the bottle! Lol would totally recommend to my mom friends

As a mom who is mindful of the ingredients we use, I was excited to try Blue Lizard Mineral sunscreen. It has high EWG Ratings, is reef friendly, and great for all skin types. The cap lock feature makes it easy to keep in our beach bag and no fears for losing the cap! I love the spray on feature, with 4 kids this is a lifesaver! The sunscreen itself does need to be rubbed in, dries clear, and leaves no sticky residue!

Feels lightweight

Most mineral sunscreens feel heavy and leave a white cast, while this one feels fresh, rubs in completely clean, and doesn't take forever to rub in. My daughter liked it, but I love that we can all use it as a family, so I don't have to lug three sunscreens around. Add to that that it's water resistant (up to 80 minutes), and it's pretty much perfect. We'll be buying it again!
