I received a Bounce protein energy ball, flavour Cocao Orange in a monthly subscription box. I was excited to give it a try. First impression of the energy ball was that it wasn't quite a ball but a flattened brown lump. The flavour was a bit odd, almost medicinal tasting. According to the ingredient list, oranges are not included so it is safe to assume the orange flavour must comes from the listed "natural flavour". The first four ingredients are brown rice syrup, sunflower seeds, cocao nibs, and whey protein isolate.
This energy protein ball does contain 9 grams of protein, 11 grams of sugar, 8 grams of fat and 170 calories.
I am interested in trying a different flavour, the company offers lots of yummy flavour combinations.
The cost is average compared to other energy bars, they can be purchased on the Bounce Canada website in a case of 12 for $28.
Overall I like the idea of having a nutritious snack that is easy to pack in a purse but the flavour just isn't there for this particular energy ball for a repeat purchase.
