Not at all like I expected

So this perfume has been on my wishlist since it was released and I've very much been looking forward to trying it out. I'm obsessed with anything sweet, fruity and gourmand, and cherry perfumes in particular are my weakness. I've read countless reviews about how delicious this smells, just like fresh cherries and whipped cream. On paper this seems like the ideal fragrance for me, but sadly that was not my experience. I cannot detect a single one of the listed notes aside from a *very* small amount of cherry in the beginning that is immediately taken over by overwhelming musky woodiness that seemingly lasts forever. I could smell it on me even after showering, so it has its longevity going for it! In fact, this smells so different from its description that part of me wonders if the one I received is defective. It reminds me a lot of both Baccarat Rouge 540 and AG's Cloud, both of which I dislike as well. Unfortunately this was a huge miss for me!

Not for me

The newest scent from Clean Reserve Whipped Cherry is very pleasant, however it’s not a scent for me. I do not find it cohesive. The notes do not blend or mesh well on my skin. I find they are always in contrast, fighting for the spotlight. I expected something warm and sweet with a juicy tart cherry note, but on my skin I’m getting the white florals, vanilla, and pineapple juice. It’s not one that I’ve wanted to reach for, personally.

Un parfum différent de ses promesses

D'un côté, le parfum tient bien sur la peau, toute la journée, vous sentira bon, malgré ce que vous faites. De plus, la compagnie est intéressante, tout comme les valeurs (eco-responsable, vegan, etc.). Cependant, le prix reste assez élevé pour la quantité de parfum. D'un autre côté, ce que j'ai moins aimé, c'est que l'odeur sur moi ne correspond pas du tout à celle décrite. De prime abord, on sent la cerise un peu chimique mais après l'odeur est plutôt guimauve légèrement vanillée. Ce que de nombreuses personnes m'ont dit en me sentant. Puis, l'odeur finale ne ressemble pas à la cerise n'ont plus... Pour moi, je suis plutôt déçue puisque ça ne correspond pas vraiment aux notes annoncées du parfum...

Just okay..

The scent of this product wasn't something i personally choose or select. It was a good scent for someone who likes cherry flavor. To me it smelled like a cough syrup unfortunately.

Smells like cough syrup

Generally, I love the fragrances from Clean Reserve as they have beautiful scent profiles and they have a decent longevegory/wear-time. However, I found this whipped cherry scent did not work for me. Upon initial application, the top notes smelled very strong and almost reminded me of cherry cough syrup for a sore throat. Once the fragrance dried down, I could barely smell it unless I held my wrist to my nose; only to be greeted with a sickly strong vanilla scent. Sadly, I did not enjoy this fragrance. Even the longevity was disappointing, as I could only smell it for about half an hour before it all disappeared. If you are someone who enjoys fruity fragrances with a vanilla-forward base, you might like this and find it works better for you.

Smells fine, but where is the cherry?

This isn’t a bad perfume, but it’s giving yet another saffron heavy, woody floral. You know that +$300 perfume that everyone has duped to death? It smells just like that, and it smells rich and heavy. It’s not a bad perfume, obviously people love the one it reminds me of, but with the name it’s not what I was hoping for.

Where is the cherry note? Where is the light yet cozy lactonic note? If they are in there they are overshadowed by the bold notes of this perfume. Longevity is good, and it projects like a beast.

I have gaslit myself for two weeks thinking there was a manufacturing mixup, or the cherry note needed maceration, but even now it’s just not there for me. I know I haven’t gone nose blind with the cherry note, because I smelled several other cherry prominent perfumes in my collection & I can still smell the fruity aspects just fine.

If you are looking for a warm, bold, rich smelling perfume you’ll be happy with this. If you’re wanting to smell like a juicy cherry plopped on a pile of whipped cream though, this is going to be a let down.

Avon back burner scent

This perfume lacks a lot of things. It does not carry a cherry scent at all, nor does it have a cream scent to it. It smells like an Avon back burner scent --- something that was pushed to the back of the Avon shelf, but then pulled out in hopes that it would sell. Thankfully, this perfume doesn't last long, because this scent is plastic-smelling, as well as...smelling like a horrible medicine. Not something I would want to wear, nor would I enjoy any significant other I'm with wearing it.

Headache inducing

I was so excited to try this and was expecting a sweet whipped cream, cherry fragrance but unfortunately I'm not getting any of that. It gave me an immediate headache. Definitely don't recommend blind buying this one. #CleanReserve #perfumereview #perfumelovers

Doesn't last

The smell is so good, and it's perfect for a gourmand girly like me. The problem is, on me personally, it doesn't last longer than 5 minutes. I've tried layering it over lotion and can still smell the lotion hours later, but not the perfume. I want to like it so bad, I just wish it had any sort of longevity.

sadly not for me

I have no tact, I wasn't born to be a diplomat - I'm sure my review clearly reflects that. 

I've been a major fan of Clean Collective's fragrances for years, burned through many bottles of Rain, Solar Bloom, Warm Cotton and Skin (both Reserve and Classic) so i was naturally overjoyed to be able to try Whipped Cherry. 

I adore a cherry note in gourmand scents, and what's better than realistic fruit in a truly clean formula? I was expecting mouthwateringly fluffy, whipped vanilla sweetness coupled with hopefully maraschino cherries. But would have settled for cherry jam.

Whipped Cherry sadly has no depth, no layers, no notes to it. It's one synthetic, linear juice - ambroxan/cetalox. It's cold, it's without character and it's over-the-top.

I'm giving it 2 stars because this juice lasts 2-3 days of fabric and almost impossible to wash off skin.

Please remember, fragrance is subjective and it might be your next favourite thing. Sadly it's not a scent for me.
