Not as promised...
As someone with a medium/dark complexion I did not find that this product was particularly helpful. I did try it as both a spot treatment, as well as in larger areas, and overall I did not find it to be effective after using the entire bottle. Try at your own risk!
Great Results
I love this product and the even better range. I have pigmentation on my forehead and under my eyes. Using this twice a day as part of my skincare routine I've seen a noticeable improvement in just 2 weeks. My skin is brighter in those areas and my overall skintone is more even. I use this with the even better moisturiser and even better foundation.
Acne Scarring Be Gone!
Alright so I’ll give you a little back story on my skin. I’m 25 years old, with hormonal acne that reappears on my chin. My skin is combination. (Oily in the t-zone) I wear makeup 6 days a week and have to for my job. I’ve decided to take a serious break from my daily makeup routine in attempt to clear up my skin. During this process, I’ve been applying the Clinique Dark Spot Corrector in the AM daily. This product is light weight, soaks in the skin, and the best part- making a huge difference in my old acne scarring. This serum is packed with microexfoliants that help break hyperpigmentation in the skin. I definitely recommend this for anyone with aged acne scarring, or dark sun spots.
Effective Product
It's an expensive product but is effective. It's a serum like texture that goes on smoothly and absorbs well. To be used twice daily alone or under an additional moisturizer. After a week of use, it appears to lighten the dark patches I got as a result of being in the sun and forgetting to apply a facial sunscreen.
I've been using it for almost a year, through a pregnancy and now have the baby. I felt it mostly kept the dark spots from getting worse as they do with all the hormones, as well as the hot summer ats. My dark spots are not gone, but dull, and the condition of my skin is quite nice and smooth. I like using this particular serum because it does control the progression of the pigment !
This is a serum that removes hyperpigmentation from acne scarring or damaged skin via UV rays. The serum penetrates deep into the skin removing the melanin at the origin and gently exfoliates the surface of the skin. Anyone who is interested in this and wants results my advice is to take a before and after 4week picture. Also, the number one cause of hyperpigmentation is due to the sun- so SPF is needed otherwise you won't see any results. I've used this to spot treat sun spots and after 1.5months is when I saw a significant difference.
I normally adore clinique products, but this was a disappointment. I really didn't see a dramatic decrease in my under eye circles (especially with a price tag so high i expected something way better!) in fact, it made my make up and concealer run.
I have some dark spots appearing on my face and hands so got this hoping it would fade them. I chose Clinique because I have sensitive skin and I wasn't disappointed. It works very well and after about four weeks the tone of my skin is definitely improved. It is expensive but I use very little so it will last a long time.
Initially, I was extremely excited to obtain clear and even skin. However within two weeks of using the dark spot corrector I had extremely dry skin and several rashes. Unfortunately I had an adverse reaction to the product and it also made me become more acne prone. My skin was extremely dry (I mean, like flakes of dry skin falling off my face) and I was disappointed with this product.
I LOVE this product. I've never had more compliments on my skin as I got when I consistently used this product. Not only did it fade my dark spots from acne scars, it also gave me a radiant glow that I loved.
