Works well but pricey
I really like my Clinique Superprimer - Color Corrects Redness overall.
My redness isn't super bright, and it does help cover it under foundation. It's definitely a yellow product and it stays that way, it cannot be worn alone. It's a liquid but applies well, it doesn't absorb but lies over the skin and settles. It dries in place to a matte finish but I don't feel like my skin is dry or tight with it (and I have dry skin), I just need to ensure to have done my skincare beforehand.
It's not the cheapest though, and since I got it and I have seen regular concealers and other primers do a great job as well at a lower cost. I will happily use what I have left, but may not repurchase.
Primer perfection
I'm picky with primers and find it hard to find a good one that works well with my skin and feels nice and doesn't go dry or feel greasy. This stuff is light and airy and very silky smooth to apply it just feels lovely and not heavy at all. Make up then glides on easily and stays put and doesn't look or feel heavy. I would always use this primer now I have been spoilt.
I would buy this product again
I'm a Clinique fan, so I didn't mind spending a few more dollars to try this. I was very impressed. It's silky soft to put on. It works best to let it sit a few minutes before putting the rest of your makeup on.
I purchased the Universal Superprimer from Clinique because I read good reviews about it and have been having trouble finding a primer that works well for my skin type (combination skin with redness areas). I found this primer to work well under my foundation and made sure my makeup looked fresh all day long. It applies really smoothly and easily, which I loved since many other primers don't do this. It lasted me for about 5 months. Even though I really liked the universal one, I think I will try the colour correct redness superprimer next time since I do have a lot of problems with areas of redness on my face. Overall I found this to be a really good primer that doesn't bother my skin and works well with makeup.
I had a hard time seeing if this product was doing anything at all. It's consistency went on like a moisturizer (a bit redundant as I also use an actual moisturizer), then by halfway through my workday I had to touch up my foundation as it was wearing off (similar to if I didn't wear primer at all). I appreciated it's light to no scent and it did apply easily, but I feel it wasn't the primer for me.
It's not the greatest primer on the market, but it do find it non-irritating and doesn't break me out. It does help my foundation last longer and helps keep my skin feel hydrated during the day.
I love this primer! I didn't get any of the colour correcting formulas but the white, normal superprimer. Both myself and a friend tried this primer and loved it. My makeup stays in place all day, my skin feels smooth and pores are minimized. Plus oil stays at bay for hours and hours, barely needing any retouching. This is one of my favourite primers.
Honestly I was disappointed with this product. It didn't correct much redness around my face, and it didn't make my foundation go on very smoothly. It left my makeup clumpy and didn't absorb into my face/. Could get a better job done by a drugstore brand.
I really like this primer because it makes my skin so smooth and even for foundation application. It makes my foundation go on so evenly whereas before I had trouble applying it evenly. I'm unsure about whether I will purchase this product because of the price tag. I received a sample size from Sephora and loved it, but didn't realize how expensive it was for a real size.
Another product that I actually love and use every single day, wether it be winter, fall, spring or summer, I will wear this product every day. This primer is amazing, depending which one you chose from, they all go on your face colourless. When you pump some out of the tube at first it will come out in whatever colour your tube is, but don't freak out it will not stay like that on your face. I like to put my primer on after my dramatically different lotion and spf city sunblock lotion. It feels great when you put it on, so silky smooth. Makes for a great canvas to put your makeup on and it stays. In the summertime I get some parts of my face that don't tan which was caused from the sun from getting burned. I talked to a Clinique specialist and they recommended this product to get your make up to stay on and not sweat off or disappear especially during the summertime, I find that would happen often. This product does cost $31 but again like all their lotions all you need is a small amount and it will last a long time. I have both their Universal primer which I use during the winter and fall and spring and then I use the Colour corrects in the summer.
