The "Couch to 5k" is an amazing app for people who do not run or haven't ran before. It trains you day by day and week by week slowing with 30 seconds to 1 minute increments. You can have your music running in the background and even the Nike app. There is a nice voice that comes on to let you know when to run or when to walk. It helped me train for the Vancouver Sun Run. Best part it is free!!! You can pay for additional features (ie. no ads) but the App is amazing just the way it is! Totally recommend it. Also you only run 3x a week!
