    What's Advertised:

The water-based colorants of Outlast Lipstain give lips a beautiful, lightweight flush of color that won't come off, lasting for hours without the heavy look or feel of an ordinary lipstick. The Real Scoop:

I actually really liked the way the Outlast Lipstain looked and felt on. It's available at mass market drugstores everywhere, and I purchased mine at Shoppers Drug Mart (approx $10 CAD). The colour I chose was Berry Smooch (#405), which gives my lips gorgeous definition without feeling dry. The fragrance is light and fruity, and the colour is very pretty on! It does feel like drawing on your lips with marker (which is not a bad thing, considering the precision you will be able to define your lips with).

My biggest gripe is that the marker itself dried out after only 4-5 uses, which means you cannot expect a lot of use from it. It's a viable option for those that need a quick fix of pretty colour and are looking for something to throw in the purse.

    Some tips:
I primed my lips with lip conditioner, let it settle for a bit and then put on the Outlast (to prevent dryness and "bleeding" colours). Once the product is on, you have to let it settle for a few minutes to dry and then it will last all day.

I was disappointed with this product. I really felt like I was putting marker on my lips, and I don't get why it's called Outlast. I liked the way it felt all light and smooth on my lips, and the scent and flavor is sweet, almost fruity. But other than that, it isn't worth the price. Oh and I like to put some clear gloss over it to had some shine.

I like this product, I don't find it as drying on my lips as the regular Outlast products, but I do find that it needs something over top of it to give it some shine. Also, it doesn't last as long as they say, maybe 3 or 4 hours.

it works well for some but my lips are just too dry and it makes them look chapped with this on.

This lip gloss is not really one of my favorites, it does last a pretty long time, but it seems to fade after a while. If you don't apply it perfectly the first time and there are globs or something, when it dries its hard to fix unless you want to scrub your lips with soap and water. The top coat tends to run out faster than the color and it is a bit pricey for just gloss. The upside is if you get it right and when it dries you have a nice shimmer to your lips that is realatively non-sticky and it does come in quite a few nice colors I might add.
