First time trying chili honey 🍯

I’ve been using Halifax Honey Co. Stingin’ Hot Honey for a few weeks now, mostly as a finishing drizzle on pizza, fried chicken, roasted veggies, and even breakfast sandwiches. The blend of pure honey infused with pickled chilies gives it the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. The flavor starts off rich and smooth, then slowly builds into a pleasant spicy kick that lingers without being overwhelming.

The texture is thick, silky, and easy to drizzle straight from the bottle without making a sticky mess. It has the classic floral honey aroma with a subtle tangy, peppery note from the chilies.

What surprised me most was how versatile it is, I originally bought it for pizza, but it ended up working on everything from charcuterie boards to grilled meats. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while even with regular use. The heat level is noticeable but approachable, making it suitable for people who enjoy a mild-to-medium spice level.

The only downside is that if you’re expecting an intense, fiery burn, you may find it a bit tame. Also, because it’s real honey, it can become slightly thicker in cooler temperatures. Overall, it performs exactly as intended: adding a sweet, spicy boost to everyday foods while elevating simple meals with very little effort. Love the stingy taste!!

I recently tried Stinging hot honey and it was a different experience. I never thought honey could be exciting until I tasted this one. You can feel the sting on your tongue but at the same time you know it's honey because the flavor of honey is prominent. It gives you a kick and you would want it more for sure. I drizzled it over grilled veggies during our barbeque party and if was a hit. I also drizzled at ice cream, Doritos and mozzarella sticks and we really enjoyed how it balances the taste of honey and chilli and adds a stingy kick. I will definitely be trying the other flavors too. I wasn't sure if my kids will like it or it will be too hot for them but it was happily approved by them.

Halifax Hot Honey Original has a nice balance of sweetness and heat. The honey is smooth and naturally sweet, while the chili adds a gentle kick that builds slowly without being too spicy.

Perfect for non-spicy lovers

I’m not into spicy food however I liked this sauce, it’s perfect for dipping. I used for my chicken recipes and it’s a must have for me nowadays! The flavour is really nice for people who are not spicy lovers but are trying to get different experiences with food .

Perfect heat

Wow. I received this hot honey and wasn't sure how it would compare to ones in restaurants but it is so good. The honey is clearly a high quality, and the heat is the perfect balance. It is so good on so many things! I love that its local-ish and Atlantic. Definitely buying this.
