I really like the brush on this and the price point, the biggest drawback is that it doesn't last long before the mascara starts to dry out inside the tube.

I won my Essence I Love Extreme Volume Macara as part of a prize for doing the review of the week here on ChickAdviser. I really wanted to like this mascara, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. I like my mascara’s to have a curved brush because I find it easier to get each of my lashes with this type of brush. This mascara along with most others on the market has a straight brush, so I found it a bit tricky to use. How ever those of you that like and are use to a straight brush shouldn’t have any trouble with it. The brush has big fat bristles that can pick up most lashes and it has a really nice black pigment to it. It also will give you a lot of volume, but I found it didn’t thinken my lashes the way I like them to be. I have naturely long lashes so lengthing them isn’t something that I really look for when I’m choosing mascara, it’s the thickening that I want. Once you have it on it does stay on all day and it doesn’t flake, or smudge, how ever it does tend to clump up if you over do it when you're applying it. I found myself having to whipe off the end of the brush pretty much every time I took it out and if you apply to much at one time, you’ll need a lash comb to separate you lashes. You may even find yourself having to remove it and start over. I had my lashes stick together a few times and when I tried to fix this it just made my lashes look short and dumpy looking. Now like I said this could all just be my own doing as I’m not use to a straight brush and while trying to get the look that I’m use too, I may very well have caused all of this myself. The Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara sells for about $5, so if you do try it and find you do care for it its not like you’ll be out a lot of money. So for the $5 I think its worth given a try, it just wasn't for me.
