Description

Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. Sweet and tart blackcurrant oil, rich in plumping essential fatty acids, cushions the lips while antioxidant grapeseed polyphenols and vitamins A, C, and E provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals. It also provides essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays.

I had purchased this as part of a set of Fresh products from Sephora. The full sized version retails around 22.50. This is well worth buying full sized! It makes your lips soft and hydrated with just a light application. It isn't sticky and comes with a light tint of colour. I love the fact it doesn't have a chemical taste to it and has very pleasant sent. The top is also a screw top so it won't come open in your purse...a big bonus in my book as I've had that problem with other lip glosses/balms.

I forgot to add this also has a SPF 15.

This lip balm lasts and moisturizes without feeling too heavy. If I put on in the morning, I do not to reapply until lunch. It also serves as a very good base before putting lipstick on. The lip balm is especially delicate to be used in dry winter times. I have used 3 of these lip balms and found it will melt and break easliy under hot weather. I put that in my cosmestic pouch as I was traveling in Beijing (33> degrees celcius) and probably better to use in cold weathers. Yeah, this is an expensive item and a close substitute will be Mentholatum Pure Natural lip balm. They have similar texture but need to reapply like every 30 minutes. I got one on sale from Walmart for $2.

It moistures your lips, and protects them from the harsh weather. Love this one because it's rose tinted. It's good for a practical day.

Let's get the bad out of the way immediately...this is some freakin' expensive lip balm. There, now we can get to the good parts. I love this stuff in a big way. So many of Fresh's products are amazing and this is no exception. Why pay $22.50 for a lip balm? Well, there are some quality ingredients in there (blackcurrant & grapeseed oils, sugar, vitamins A, C & E) and it has sun protection. It feels soooo nice on your lips and like the moisture really sinks in instead of sitting on top, so they feel soft and conditioned. Also, it smells really good and comes in a lipstick-style tube. Total splurge, but I say it's worth it.
