This powder did make my eyes a bit watery, but I do have sensitive skin - and this has also happened with past setting powders I have tried.
The quality seems good and it is a nice fluffy powder that does not weigh down your skin.
I didn't notice any 'shimmer' effect that you sometimes get in a matte look setting powder, either.

Just be sure to blend blend blend, especially around your eyebrows haha.
The powder did it's job, however after a few hours I felt that my skin was looking very dull and that I could use a touch up...of everything.

Truthfully I am not really one for a "setting" make up or primer.
I love the look of a fresh, clean face (even with make up) and I just find it hard to wear a "matte" look, so I feel my review may be a little biased in that effect.

I received the GOSH Prime n' Set as part of the Product Review Club. I have never used a Primer powder, as my skin is usually pretty dry. I have tried this powder a couple of ways- first applying it before using powder foundation, and another time to set my make-up after using liquid foundation. I have to say that using it as a Primer before make-up, I did not see much difference in minimizing pores or redness. I much preferred using the product after applying iquid foundation. It seemed to set my look, and did not apply cakey or make my skin look dry. I was a litle confused on how to use the product at first, as the round brush I was using was much larger than the container. It took a little bit of experimenting with my brush to get the product to apply evenly. I will keep using this product, but most likely will not be purchasing again.

I don't know how much I care for this product. For me, I didn't find it made any difference with how my makeup set or the shine control. But it was very light feeling on this skin which was nice and went on transparent. I probably wouldn't buy it on my own.

My sensitive skin did not like this product. My cheeks burned when I put this on.

I didn't know what to expect from this product cos im used to using a liquid for a primer. I applied t with my big stipple brush, I must admit I hate the container, im a clutz when it comes to these loose powder containers but that's my fault. but got the powder on my brush eventually!! liked it went n nice and light, I kind of wasn't sure how much i needed to put on and then I di my usual liquid foundation and then set with the powder again to finish. It looked totally great, didn't feel like I had three layers on, nice and light and flawless!! and seemed to help my make up stay and was less greasy at the end of the day which sadly hd makeup forever tends to leave you. Good price too!

I used to always skip primers but I started using them about a year ago and realized they really do make a difference with how my makeup wears, especially in the summer or when it's humid out. I have combination skin that gets shiny in the T-zone.

I was excited to try this one out but I think it's quite average and I would not buy this again. This is a powder type primer that can also be used as a finishing powder. You need to apply this with a light hand. I found it did seem to keep the shine at bay, but I prefer the liquid format type of primers for smoothness. I also like my products to do double duty and there are others on the market that include SPF/sunscreen so it saves a step and offers extra protection. The GOSH one does not have that benefit.

Given the selection of other primers on the market, I don't think this one has any major advantages so I would not personally purchase this.

So, I was SUPER excited to see that I received the prime 'n set powder. I've never used a primer before and was stoked to try it out. Unfortunately, my experience fell a bit flat. I really wanted to love this product because I've heard so many great things about primers - I don't know if it's just this one though or maybe my expectation was too high and all primers a like this, but overall, I didn't love the results.

First, I put it under my foundation. Before I added my foundation (liquid BB cream) it felt super dry. Once I added, obviously my skin felt moist again, but I saw no difference in the end result.

Then I thought, okay, maybe I need to use it as a setting powder. Now this was not good - for me anyway, the white powder just sat on my skin, making me look super fake pale and in particular drew attention to all the small blonde hairs I have (usually not at all noticeable).

I'm going to continue to play with it and see if I can figure out how to make it work for me - will update my review if anything changes - it could very well be user error of not being familiar with this new type of product, but if that's the case, I also wonder if perhaps it needs better directions?

I have only ever used a gel primer before, not powder. And I only use it on my eyes since I don't wear foundation. It did keep my eye shadow in place when used as a primer, but not as well as the gel primer I usually use which costs a lot less. I wouldn't buy this product for myself, but thank you ChickAdvisor for the free sample to test. If you like powder primers, you'll probably really like this one though.

I got the GOSH Prime & Set powder from Chickadvisor to review and it sounds like a nice product, but it just didn't work for me. I'm so used to a liquid primer, that this just gave me too much hassle. But if you are good with a powder brush, try it out!!
