The first thing I noticed about these solar lantern style lights is that the string itself is much longer than many of the solar lights I've tested previously. They'd be perfect to hang on the side of the house or your gazebo. The fabric around the lights is actually a somewhat plasticized nylon. From a distance, it looks totally natural, but it will protect the lights from the weather and won't dissolve in water like paper would.

One thing you should note about these lanterns is there's some assembly required. it's not difficult, just open up the lantern and pop the white holder inside and then through the hooks, but it is a little time consuming. At a slow pace and as clumsy as I am, it took me around fifteen minutes to set up, if you have more people and are more dextrous, it'll go much faster. Just make sure if you plan to use these for an event you give yourself the time to set them up and allow them to charge.

The solar power is ideal for use in the garden rather than indoors, simply because it's so much easier to get light there. These come with a stake for if you plan to put them closer to the ground, so you can push it into the soft ground and aim the solar panel directly up.

A very cute set of lights, but I did find a few pieces of dried glue on a couple of my lanterns, easy to pick off and not a problem, but better quality control would solve this problem!

Protip: Make sure you peel the plastic off the solar panel after unpacking, to allow it to charge.
