Magical unicorn fun

This was the perfect edition to our unicorn play date and we had so much fun mixing all of the colourful and sparkly Kinectic Sand. We had so much fun making different shapes for our unicorn friends.

Loads of colourful fun!

This is a really great toy overall! There are four different colours of sand allowing for lots of creative options! The sand is also a great, calming sensory stimuli that I appreciated. There is a subtle glitter to the sand as well, that was a nice surprise for us all.
The only drawbacks are: although the kinetic effect of the sand is cool, it makes detailing things much more frustrating. We made a few small detailed items that slinked into nothingness as we placed them. There also could definitely be MORE sand to begin with - the box is deceptive as that scene would require much more sand to create!
Lastly, I assume that since the sand slinks, the pooping unicorn would be a breeze. They actually took a lot of effort to get going.

These are minor issues overall, though! It was a very fun toy that we look forward to using again and again! So many lovely details and tools to create a wide variety of fantastic scenes!

Fun for all ages

This is a great toy (?) for people of all ages, my younger sister (7) LOVED it, but my brother who was a bit older also found a lot of comfort in using it for his sensory issues.

Great entertainment for my toddler!

My little one loved this activity. She just turned 2 and loved manipulating the sand between her fingers and putting it into the moulds. The only small complaints were that the sparkles come off all over her hands and then her face when she touched it (but came out easily with handwashing). Also, the little unicorn it came with didn't work so well, the sand gets stuck inside, but she still enjoyed playing with it.

This would make a great gift!

I received a Kinetic Sand Shimmer, Unicorn Kingdom Playset for free to review. Unfortunately the younger kids I thought were going to be here to play with it, are not here but I told my 12 year old daughter about it and she came over to check it out right away.
The colours are gorgeous! Nice and bright. The cardboard pieces are cute and thick enough to handle children, for awhile anyhow. Though I could see the rainbow getting bent quicker than the rest. My 12 year old enjoyed how it felt. Very soft but not at all sticky. She did have sparkles all over her hands after she was done. Something to keep in mind, again, for younger kids. The unicorn would probably appeal to younger girls as it eats and "poops". The tray that came with it was fantastic as it is a good size and made for easy clean up.
All in all we felt that it was very visually appealing and fairly versatile that it could be played with often and not get bored of it. The colours did blend when they were used together. I feel it would be perfect as a birthday or Christmas gift!

Great entertaining toy

My kids loved playing with this - especially found it hilarious that it included a “pooping unicorn” although they said it was tough to clean out after each use. They enjoyed mixing the various sand colours together and there was a generous amount of sand in the kit. My eldest mentioned the perforations for the cardboard cutout were difficult to remove and peeled off some of the printing.

Fun product to play with

It is certainly a lot of fun to play with and creative way to use their imagination on building with the included toys. The only criticism is the sand should be better storage if it is in a box or something instead of the bag. Other than that, certainly recommend it.

A magical hit!

We are big fans of kinetic sand already so my kids were thrilled to try out this unicorn version! My daughter is 6 and my son is 3. Both played with it peacefully and collaboratively building a unicorn empire, which they then used the punch out pieces to do some creative play afterwars. The shimmer was a cute touch and didn't leave a mess everywhere as I was worried about that. My kids said it was a five star toy but I am taking off a star as thdy struggled a bit with the unicorn poop tool, otherwise it waz a super easy toy to use. This is a great toy to pull out on a rainy day or for quiet time so we will play with it again and again!

Great sand kit

My 4 years old couldn't stop playing with it. She loves to feed the unicorn and finds the unicorn poop funny and pretty (she used the pink sparkle sand).
The sand castle is very easy to make and the sand just slide right out without any effort.
The only thing is that the color and sparkles will stick to any fabric and little hands, but if you get a big bucket and make sure not to play near carpet or chairs with fabric/microfiber then its all good.

So many sparkles!

My girls just loved this. They loved the four different colours included (pink, purple, white and teal) and the little unicorn that comes with it is just adorable. Would recommend to any little girl who loves sparkles and unicorns
