i used this on a friend and it made her look like she had fake lashes on but when i used it on myself it had huge clumps :(! maybe this mascara was only meant for some people :(! and sadly i wasnt meant to use it but this is a pricey mascara so hope this works out for you others out there

I have moderately long and full eyelashes and I am generally quite happy with them. I don't mind splurging on my mascara. Face lotion and mascara are my "must haves". Recently, I became unhappy with my regular mascara and decided to try something new. I was extremely disappointed.

I like my mascara to have several qualities. Easy to apply, lengthening, a little volume and non-clumping with no flaking. Too much to ask? Probably, as I can't seem to find a tried and true love yet.

My first application went fine. I wasn't in love, which saddened me as I paid $30 to BE in love, but it seemed all right. I didn't notice a difference in the length and the volume wasn't anything to talk about. This mascara had no "wow" factor for me at all. As the days went on, I started to notice horrible clumping action(biggest pet peeve in a mascara). As well, it was hard to remove. (I use the Lancome makeup remover) This clumping continued to get worse and I started to blame myself, figuring that the mascara was high quality, so it must be me(my application technique, body chemistry). Perhaps it is, but I stopped using it because I can't handle the clumping and my eyelash quality seems to have deteriorated, perhaps from the effort to remove the mascara. They don't seem as long or pretty anymore.

I even bought an eyelash comb to use it and then kicked myself for spending 15 bucks on an eyelash comb so I could use it with an already expensive mascara. Silly me. I used this mascara for approximately a 3-4 weeks before saying goodbye to it.

On the positive side, there was no flaking and I didn't mind the brush. Unfortunately, this is not enough for me to consider purchasing this mascara again nor shall I recommend it to my friends.

This mascara is one of the all time best I've ever tried.It delivers the best volume ans thickness I've ever seen in a mascara.Only one coat is necessary though it does not seem to clump up if you prefer more than one coat.It stays on well without smudging at all.The price is steep,but worth it.

My new go-to is Lancome Hypnose Custom Volume Mascara. I’ve always envied the mascara prowess of the Kardashian sisters, one of my not-so guilty pleasures. Lancome Hypnose Mascara is my "go to" mascara. It is pricey, so I am always trying cheaper mascaras, but they never compare. This mascara lenghens my lashes and adds volume. It rarely clumps. I never had it flake off or run. It is a great mascara!

For such an expensive mascara - this disappoints - I have medium length lashes naturally, when I put on many coats and it still doesn't lengthen them at all. I'm glad I only ended up paying $11 for this. For the money Maybelline Lash Stiletto does a MUCH better job and it's longer lasting - don't waste your money for the name, it's no better than a drugstore brand mascara.

I am a mascara junkie. There...I admit it. I have spent an inordinate amount of money on mascaras over time, and by far, one of the best ones on the market. The real deal.

So I admit that I have longer than average eye lashes already and women comment on them all the time. Before you judge my lash-endowment and my ability to really judge a mascara given my natural advantage...note that although long-ish, they are not thick and have been getting thinner and thinner with each passing year *snif snif*.

No matter...this mascara helps to make them look so thick with dark rich colour that I have had many ask if they were fake. It has a nice large brush and applies pretty smoothly. Also, an important factor for me, is that it doesn't smudge and yet somehow manages to come off pretty easily with some make up remover without tearing out half the precious lashes I have left.

My only tiny complaint is that I find the tube itself dries out faster than other mascaras, forcing you to buy a new fresh one sooner than you would with other brands. I've justified to myself that this is ok...because really we're not supposed to keep mascaras forever anyway. In the meantime, just make sure you close it tightly.

Yes, its pricey. It's true. But hey, if you're curious about this product, just use your Shoppers Optimum points to get it free like I did. Then once you've tried it, you won't mind paying the price for it. Honest!

For the past few months I have been on a mascara kick.....a sort of hunt for the ultimate mascara if you will....so, shamelessly I must report I have about 7 or 8 different tubes right now, and this one from Lancome completely stands out for me! Ok...Ok...so it's really expensive mascara, but this stuff is lovely....it really works. Do I feel it's worth $30??....well, it was a total treat for myself....but I do love the results I get with it.

Lancome is known for their high end mascara's and like any other product junkie, there are certain things you just have to end up trying because of all the hype/talk/advertising/ etc....I am very happy I tried the Custom Volume Mascara by Lancome. Not too happy that I had to spend so much for it, but I have to admit, the quality is there.

I love the long slender brush....it makes it easy to get all your eye lashes. I love that the formula isn't thick and goopy...it's thin, and goes on w/o clumping.....no matter how much you put on. However, like all mascara's the more you apply, the more chances of clumping, so just give your lashes a comb and seperation at the end of the application to clean them up, and curl them.

I can tell in pictures of myself when I have this mascara on because I can actually see my lashes enhanced with the product. It lasts all day, I haven't experienced it flaking, or clumping up or smudging for that matter.

I would definitly purchase it again, even though it is expensive because the quality is there and I love this formula and brush applicator!

my favourite anytime mascara. can see dramatic results with just 2-3 coats. long lasting and doesn't smudge. adds lots of volume without clumping.
