Not matte, not long wearing,

I got this in my November Boxycharm. I was intrigued by this when I pulled it out of the box. I ended up with the darker wine shade and was fine with that. I've been digging the moody dark colours lately. The item is described as long wearing and matte, so I had high hopes. Sadly, this was just a mess. It applied very sheer and patchy, almost like a balm. Because of the shape and size, I found it really difficult to get a precise application, which is a pain in the butt with such a dark colour. I really had to layer it up to get decent coverage and found it never set down in any way. It moved around and didn't stay put very long. I didn't find it matte at all, and don't see myself reaching for this.
