Light beige cloth that is shrink proof, odour and mildew resistant cool next to the skin . During a very hot summer trip I washed it in the sink in the hotel room a few times and it dried overnight . It has a zipper closing. It blocks RFID, perfect size, There are 3 compartments that holds a passport, some cash and a couple of pieces of ID / credit cards. I hooked it through my belt and then tucked it inside my pants. After a few minutes I could not feel it at all ,in fact I had to check to make sure it was still there a few times when I first used it. On a rainy day when I was wearing a rain jacket that had inside pockets I pinned it to the inside of one of the pockets and it worked just as well. I love that I am hands free while sight seeing in countries where pick pockets are plentiful. I usually carry some cash in my pocket that I think I will need for the day (bus fare, lunch and admission to attractions )rather than try to fish out money or credit card from the pouch. But if needed for a unplanned purchase it is not a big deal to get what I need out of the pouch.
