Worth every penny!
Yes, it is expensive compared to other lipsticks, but it is worth it. I took a single colour with me on holiday, applied it in the morning with one application of gloss, and it lasted all day. Through eating, drinking - I particular like that it didn't leave a mark on any glasses. We did wine tastings and no mess! My lips never dried out, but I have very well moisturized skin and lips, so maybe that was the difference.
I actually have an appointment today to pick a new colour!
Stays on forever!
My mom sells this stuff and at first I was a little weary of it. Tried it out and it's amazing. I drink alot of wine and have never had any stains on my glass. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED
Worth the money
My sister convinced me to try lipsense at my brother's wedding (we were both bridesmaids). The bride also used it. I lasted all day even with kissing my husband countless times. It's expensive compared to the other makeup I use but it's worth it! I highly recommend trying it with a reps help for the learning curve.
Nope
I was so excited to try LipSense since I have a Lipstick Addiction. This is the worst Lipstick I have ever tried. It burnt my lips, it dried my lips out. I was definitely not happy.
Great idea - does what it's suppose to
I jumped on the lipsense bandwagon pretty quick and bought quite a few colors off the get go. I love the idea of it and it definitely does what it say. That stuff stays all day. but 2 things.
You have to reapply the glossy gloss, which in turn defeats the whole purpose "lipstick that stays all" If I'm reapplying gloss, then I may as well just wear lipstick, no?
If you don't reapply the gloss as often, the lips and color are dry and flakey.
Also your 'water line' in your lips wear off so it can look funny with darker colors, and you will have to reapply the dark shades anyways. Shrug. For the price, it's not exactly worth it in my opinion. Plus you need to buy a color AND the gloss.
The "set it and forget it" of lip products
I. Am. Addicted. I am addicted to most lip products, I need to try them all. So while at first the price point was a bit of a turn off, I couldn't resist seeing all these beautiful colored lips lasting all day long and I needed to satisfy my curiosity. I must say I was absolutely not disappointed! Well I found it strange at first all the tutorials out there to just simply apply a lip product I followed them along and there's good reason to pay attention to them. There's a certain specific way you absolutely need to apply this product and understand the product in general. Once you follow those directions and apply the lipsense colors, and then the gloss, you will find soon enough you'll be ordering more and more colors to create your own color combinations. And yes, it absolutely did tingle at first on my lips for the first few applications. If you pay attention in the videos, or comments regarding the product you will understand why it tingles and it's not at all harmful to your lips. The first few times that I wore a lipsense color it did not last the full 8 to 12 hours. It started flaking off and I got a little frustrated. So I Googled some other reviews and comments regarding the product and found that for a lot of people this is completely normal as your lips self exfoliate and get used to the product. After wearing a lipsense color every day for the first week by day6 my lip colors were lasting a full 8 hours. By day 9 they were lasting 12 hours. I just keep reapplying the gloss. And now I love trying different gloss colors or types. I find the matte gloss to be my least favorite, although I wanted it to be my number one favorite. It doesn't provide enough moisture on the lips with this lipsense product. That being said, my absolute favorite gloss is the Rose gloss. It hides just a slight Shimmer and a hint of color and can change the way the lips look with whatever lipsense color you've chosen to wear that day. I have so much fun layering and mixing colors.
Does not smudge!
I have recently discovered lipsense and it's my new makeup addiction.
I own goddess, purple reign and kiss me Katie. I love lipstick but my problem was always that it would get on my teeth...not this stuff. I love that I can put it on and not have to worry about it rubbing off. I can eat and drink and it still looks good.
It did tingle the very first time I ever applied and never again. The problem is most people have really dry lips and I find the more I use lipsense the better my lips look and feel. The gloss that goes on top is incredibly moisturizing.
A regular lipstick cost around the same price but you have to reapply so lipsense lasts longer. I do reapply the gloss to keep my lips moisturized but the colour stays until I remove it.
This is a great product and I recommend trying a lighter colour to start.
I have 3 colours and can also mix those on many different ways to get different colours.
Stays on
Im new to Lip sense I had never heard of it before... Yes I must live under a rock... I found out about this product at a Women's show and wow. I tried I bought & I Love it... My go to color is Pink Champagne.
I put it on and it stays on me for about 8 hours.. I love it I does take time to get use to he application process but wow love this product.
Taste is not so great
So I get that Lipsense is great for lasting all day but I actually hate the taste. I thought it was just maybe the one flavor I tried so I bought another one. Now I can tell for sure that the taste is not so great. For the price we pay this product should taste better on the lips.
Never ....
I was at a trade show recently where we could try out Lipsense. I was pretty intrigued. A lipstick that lasts day? Sign me up!!
I applied and immediately got a burning sensation. Not a tingling but actually burning. The person demoing the product said it was normal.
Nope. Mot normal. I had to leave the booth go find another make up table that had make up remover and use that only when I removed the stain the burning stopped
The complete lack of knowledge by the consultant really got to me.
If something burns, I will not he trying or recommending to anyone
