Light and Shimmery Oil

Beautiful shimmer, light and soothing oil. Glides on softly and produces a slight glittery glow. If I were looking for a body oil with a light almond scent, this one would definitely fit the bill. Didn’t find anything wrong with this product.

My go to product for special occasions

The L'Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil leaves a strong first impression with its stunning packaging that instantly conveys a high-end feel. The combination of the sleek glass bottle and glossy oil makes it a product worthy of display on my vanity. The application process is smooth free thanks to the dispenser that ensures a mess-free experience—something I truly appreciate in an oil-based product. While the scent isn’t my favorite, it is subtle enough not to be overwhelming as there's a delicate balance between light fragrance and a faint chemical note. Despite that, the product itself performs beautifully as it leaves a light glow to my skin. I especially enjoy using it on areas like my collarbone, shoulders, and legs, where it enhances the look of dry skin and leaves it looking hydrated. This oil is ideal for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, or evening events. Overall, it’s a lovely addition to my beauty routine when I want my skin to look its best.

Nourishing Glow with a Familiar Scent

Nothing beats almond oil as body care for me, especially during application immediately after a shower. L’Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil feels lightweight on the skin, and the glitter particles are evenly distributed, leaving a nice glow without feeling gritty. This smells identical to the pure almond oils I’ve used growing up, except this one has a shimmer finish that makes the bodycare ritual more fun.

When applying this, this gets absorbed rather quickly (almond oil is quite penetrative for skin compared to other oils) and leaves a nice glow. It doesn’t sit on the surface, and doesn’t get greasy or leave oil marks on clothes. It also does not feel sticky. I imagine most people would love this.

I have dry body skin type, and I found this to help soften and nourish my super dry skin. My skin isn’t as dry in the summer, but I’ve noticed this helps hydrate the otherwise dry spots on my body. I’d love to test this in the winter to get a full verdict on the nourishing levels of this. For now, based on the smell and the performance of this, I’m pretty pleased and impressed with this.

Perfect glow

I absolutely loved this almond shimmery oil by L’Occitane. It really gives my body an amazing, hydrated glittery goldish glow. My only complaint, is it is really oily and it didn’t seem to soak into my skin as well as I would of liked, but it didn’t seem make my skin look absolutely amazing.

Just tried the L’Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil and it’s so good! ✨ It soaks right in, makes my skin feel super soft, and gives the prettiest subtle glow. The almond scent is warm and delicious—like a little spa moment in a bottle. Definitely a new summer fave!

A soft shimmer

I received a free bottle to sample, and promised an honest review in exchange. Here are my thoughts!

Upon first glance, the glass bottle resembles a fancy elixir or potion bottle filled with liquid sunshine. An exciting addition to my collection of pretty, shiny things! I love when the packaging of products doesn’t ruin the aesthetic of my space.

I paired the shimmering oil as the perfect accessory to my tube top + mini skirt ootd and headed to pride. The oil provided a soft, sweet fragrance and glow to my skin. The shine was illuminating, never glittery and my skin looked hydrated, however the oil didn’t make it feel as hydrated as it appeared. A perfect oil for when a girl wants to shimmer, not sparkle!

Shimmer and Shinr

It's a great body oil that smells awesome and as a bonus gives your skin a beautiful shimmer. It comes in a spray bottle so it's easy to apply. I did find the bottle to be on the heavier side.

Sparkles everywhere ✨

Absolutely stunning body oil packed with gold-yellow-green sparkles. Smells like the rest of the Amande line - creamed almond with a hint of sugar and pastry. Would look blinding on tanned/deep skin tones. If you're in love with L'Occitane's almond scent, you're in for a treat - the fragrance in this oil lingers much longer than the rest of the line.

I love the scent

L'Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil. Let me start off by saying that this smells absolutely amazing! I really genuinely enjoy the scent of this. The shimmer is very light, which is good for everyday wear. It absorbs nicely into the skin; it doesn't feel sticky or tacky on the skin; it just leaves your skin feeling very soft with a very light shimmer to it. I have fair skin, so it's not as noticeable; it might be more noticeable if your skin is a little bit darker. I mainly smell almonds and vanilla. I have had other people tell me that the vanilla is stronger than the almond scent to them.
