Perfect for Summer Skin

As a longtime fan of L’Occitane, I had high hopes for their Almond Shimmering Oil—and it did not disappoint. This beautiful oil adds the most gorgeous, subtle glow to the skin without looking over-the-top. In the bottle, it might look ultra-shimmery, but once applied, it gives you more of a healthy, radiant sheen than a disco-ball finish (think lit-from-within, not Academy Awards after-party. The scent is light and lovely—just enough to feel luxurious, without being overpowering. It’s also not greasy at all (thank you, L’Occitane), and a little goes a long way.

Moisturizing, smells heavenly and shimmers!

I’m a huge fan of L’Occitane products, especially from their Amande line. This particular Shimmering Oil with Amande leaves my skin feeling so smooth that I don’t want to stop touching it! It also smells so delicious, but the scent isn’t overpowering.

The oil is light and quickly absorbed. The shimmer is very subtle once the oil is absorbed, which is fine with me. However, I noticed that the shimmer doesn’t last as long as I would have liked. I tested it out and it maybe lasted about an hour and a half.

Regardless, I’d still use this product for the immediate shimmer, moisturizing effect and the scent. It would look great for a photoshoot or a party if you’re wearing a halter top or armless dress and can show your collar bones or shoulders. It gives a very “golden goddess” vibe.

I can’t wait to use it more this summer at some fun events.

I also love that L’Occitane sources their ingredients sustainably (this almond oil is from Provence and the Mediterranean basin) and packages their products in recyclable or refillable containers. This oil comes in a glass bottle with an easy-to-use pump. I appreciate skincare products with practical designs as someone who has had joint issues in the past and found it difficult to get products out of certain containers.

This Shimmering Oil will definitely be a new luxury skincare staple for me.
