    Impressed

I wasn’t expecting much from my first delivery but I have to say, marché Goodfood has a good selection of meals and fresh ingredients. The meals are very good and easy to prepare, although, they can sometimes require multitasking. The only down side is all the plastic they use, but every wrapping is recycable.

    Time Saver, but inconsistent

I have been using GoodFood since the beginning of February (have had 4 deliveries so far). I get the Classic Basket with 4 meals (2 servings) for 2 adults and a child. I apologise for the lengthy review, but I wanted others to make an informed decision.
    .
    👍 PROS:
I love the concept and convenience of having everything I need for a meal in one bag, especially for busy week nights as the average meal takes 20-35 minutes, tops. I know everyone complains about the amount of plastic used, but it's all recyclable. I just wash and reuse
the containers and bottles. Separately packing each meal saves me from rooting through the pantry and fridge looking for ingredients. The selection of meals let's me try recipes and ingredients I wouldn't have cooked or tried otherwise. It takes the guesswork out of everything and reduces the amount of unused ingredients because they send just the amount needed. Recipes are straightforward and clearly written, for the most part, with photos of each step shown. Portions are quite large. I order the Classic Basket with 4 meals (2 servings) for 2 adults and a child and we usually have leftovers for the next day.
    .
    👎CONS:
I do like that each meal is packaged individually, but find that the bags take up quite a bit of space in the fridge. For the price, roughly $78 WEEKLY, boxes should be top notch quality all the time; however, they are incredibly inconsistent in many aspects - delivery times/schedule, ingredient quality, attention to detail/care shown when packaging boxes, and actual box contents. I do find the menu options become quite repetitive, with the majority of options being pork or chicken thighs. For the most part customer service is eager to resolve any complaints by offering to add a credit to your account, but getting through to a representative is extremely difficult especially on their Facebook page. Communication between customer and GoodFood is also poor when it comes to the status of orders/delivery, but prepare to be bombarded with constant emails you really don't care about.
    .
    INCONSISTENCY:
#1- Delivery times are definitely not set in stone and don't expect to receive an email if your order is delayed or not going to arrive at all on the scheduled day. In the past 4 weeks, I've had my deliveries arrive from 4 different couriers between the hours of 11:30am and 7:30pm, once was a no show until the next day with no explanation. Some will ring the door bell and knock, others just throw it on the porch and leave.
#2- Ingredient quality is all over the board. Sometimes ingredients are so fresh they look like they were purchased just before they arrive at your house. Other times they're inedible. Aside from wilted lettuce, in the past 4 weeks I've received broken containers resulting in a mess on top of picking plastic pieces out of the bag, and a horrible stench from a box that had rotten chicken with ripped packaging which allowed it to leak onto everything (delayed delivery with no notice AND they forgot to pack the ice packs) so the entire box was a write off as I wasn't going to take a chance with cross contamination/illness.
#3- Attention to detail/care shown when packaging boxes is also inconsistent. In the past 2 weeks I've received a meal bag with a mismatched recipe card. Sometimes bags are neatly placed into the refrigerated box, other times they're just thrown in. I've also received a box that was missing icepacks resulting in spoiled food as it was delayed a day during delivery.

Je me lance donc danscette aventure.
