This is a wonderful alternative to more expensive mineral-brand blushes. I do not use the rest of Maybelline's Mineral Power line but I do use this blush. It is a great value (averaging $8-$10 US), lasts a long time (you do not need to use too much), fairs well in terms of staying power, comes in a variety of natural colors (plums, mauves, pinks, corals) and like most mineral makeup, is easy to apply. Plus, if you ever find yourself in a makeup emergency, you know that you will be able to easily find this at any nearby drugstore, retail store, or the like and it won't hurt your wallet.

*Price: I give this a 5/5 stars because it's a cheap blush that lasts quite a long time.

*Quality: I give this a 4/5 stars because it's highly pigmented. The color is very vibrant.

*Effectiveness: I give this a 4/5 stars because it applys smoothly onto my skin. A little really does go a long way, with this blush. You can swipe on just a bit for a daytime glow or layer on more for a dramatic look. It also has great staying power.

-Extra notes: If you're a girl on-the-go and you keep this blush in your makeup bag for touchups or travel, I recommend tapping the lid a bit before opening the product, before each application, because as the blush gets tossed around a bit, it tends to accumulate in the lid. Tapping on the lid gets the excess blush powder to fall back into the jar without spilling it. If you tap on the lid, it will leave just the right amount in the lid for a nice daytime glow application.

I adore the Maybelline Mineral Power Blush. The shade I selected was Gentle Pink. The blush is in loose powder form. The shade Gentle Pink works perfectly for me. My skin tone overall is creamy light with a yellow undertone. It changes a bit with the seasons.

I 'm really impress how natural the blush appeared on my skin. The blush gives my cheek the most lovely healthy glow. I just love the colour, it so cheery. In addition the colour last the entire day. I consulted my friends for a second opinion and they say it didn't appear unnatural and they couldn't tell I was wearing any make-up. Since the blush is a loose powder it doesn't require alot. Just a little blush will do the trick. I won't leave the house without applying a bit of blush on. I highly recommend it for a pop of lovely colour.

I am a huge fan of blush. I find that one sweep of colour wakes my entire face up!

With that being said, I was afraid to stray away from my Nars Blush, which I love so dearly... though I really wanted to try a mineral brand.

I have the Mineral Powder Blush in Fresh Plum - I was trying to stay away from my usual pink! And I must say, I was really impressed. It gave my cheeks a deeper, darker shade of colour which had complemented my skin tone. I find with this shade in particular, you only need a small amount, otherwise it might have been too dark!

What I liked about it as well was that it had lasted all day.

The only con about mineral powder blushes is that the brush can pick up too much colour at once and deposit it all on one section of your cheek! To combat this, I tap it back into the container, and then dust it on a tissue or the back of my hand.

I definitely recommend this blush. It's pretty affordable too!

I normally do not wear blush, I normally dust bronzer on my cheekbones if I am going to use anything at all as my skin is darker in color. I have to say that Maybelline Mineral Power Blush looked VERY good on my skin and provided a rosey hue that did not look false at all. I am very pleased with this product and I will likely start to use this product regularly when blush or that natural flush cheeks look is required! Try this product out...you will love it!

Let me start this by saying I do not use blush, this is the only blush I own. I have very pink cheeks. When I'm pale I still have bright pink cheeks. That said, I did try the blush for the purposes of this review. Surprisingly, unlike other blushes, it blended with my rosy cheeks (possible that I chose a complimentary shade..) it just highlighted/evened out my already rosy face. I was impressed. It isn't something I am going to use everyday but, I will definitely keep it around and use it when I need that little something extra.

I love it! It seems to be the perfect color whether I am pale or at my tannest. I also like that you can use as little or as much as you want because it's loose powder...beware though - a little goes a long way! I also found that it seems to sink in and looks very natural after a few minutes.

I was really impressed with this blush's colour payoff. The gentle pink is a rosey colour, as opposed to a lighter pink that I was expecting. It is probably more suited to a darker skin tone (I use the Sandy Beige foundation), so I will probably use it more when I get my summer tan on. Because it is highly pigmented, I found it best applied using a stippling brush (or a "skunk brush") instead of a regular blush brush, so you won't pick up a lot of the product.

Just like the loose foundation, this is light, smooth, and the difference is noticeable but natural. This is a good mineral blush that I might pick up in one of the other colours.

I thought it would be too light, as I usually wear a bronze blush - but the rosey colour was gorgeous. I thought it looked really natural and feels very light on my skin. This make-up doesn't feel thick at all, which is awesome.
