Newbie Review

I received Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Camo Colour Correcting Kit for free thanks to ChickAdvisor. I am offering an honest review regarding my experience in using this product.

I was super excited to have been selected to try this product for free. I was disappointed in the product as it seemed greasy and hard to blend. I would like to disclose that I do not have any prior experience with color correcting kits so maybe it was my skill level with the blending and not the product. I wish I could provide more feedback. I did read that the product retails for about $15 Canadian dollars, which is reasonable for what you are receiving.

J'ai pu tester ce produit grace a chickadvisor et malheureusement je ne l'ai pas aimé. Tout d'abord le vert correcteur était trop vert et impossible pour moi de le camoufler sans mettre beaucoup de fond de teint et si j'en mettais tout simplement moin je ne trouvais pas qu'il corrigeait quoi que ce soit. Ensuite pour le reste c'était sensiblement le même problement. Peu de produit et ca ne parassait pas ou beaucoup de produits qui n'était pas naturel. En plus ca me semblait foncé pour la teinte claire.

I was expecting great things from this little kit but was a bit let down. The apricot product didn't provide the coverage I was expecting and the yellow did nothing. The concealers blended well. The highlight colours were pretty much nonexistent. Not sure if I would recommend this.

What first drew my attention to this product was the face that it had a Highlighter, concealer and color correcter all in one, little did I know that the "color correcting" barley even reduced redness and the concealer only concealed for 2-3 hours. The highlighters were the best part going on smooth and creamy for a great highlight! Over all would not purchase again I'm sure there's better products out there ! This is not great, I was pretty disappointed. I got the shade 100/light and its pretty dark.. The brush they give you picks up almost no product at all, even when i tried with my finger. the makeup is also pretty oily. It creases and smudges if you're even able to get it on to your face lol... not a hit, maybelline!
