Let's be honest, I mostly use my Wii to watch Netflix (awesome) and to play Mario games. Other than that I don't really use it for much else! It is fun and entertaining though and I think it is great for kids to play interactive games.
I had a Wii for a few years and we used it a lot for the first couple months. It was fun for a while but became less of a novelty. The games we enjoyed weren't made for Wii, so other consoles went up higher on our priority list. I think the Wii is great for people who aren't really gamers.
Great for multiplayer games, but the Wii is not that great for playing by yourself. Having to add batteries to each remote is a bit annoying and something I do not like.
we have 2 Nintendo wiis and both of them have the same problems after a while they just will not read the discs we spent a lot of money on accessories and they cant even play it
This was a great system when it first came out. We preordered one and were so excited to get one. After a few years and some crappy games we never use it. We bought a bunch of the exercising games and the balance board but they no longer have any appeal. Nintendo recently shut down the online component of this product so you can no longer go to the Mii store with it. Unless your giving it to old people or playing it for classic fun, there are better products on the market these days.
It's an older-generation system now (new/current gen. systems include: PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U), and the Wii U actually is backwards compatible with all Wii games (meaning any Wii game can be played on the new Wii U), so it may be better to wait for a sale on the new Wii U to allow you to both play new and old games.
Nevertheless, if you can find a Wii for a decent price, it can definitely still be worthwhile. It's a great party system and while some may consider it somewhat obsolete now, the Wii can be great to have as backup entertainment at the cottage or even on vacation/in the hotel.
I bought a Nintendo Wii when they first came out. If was initially fun but the novelty quickly wore off and I gave it away.
I thought this would be great! It is if you have young children but for my hubby and I this sucked! Would rather have an xbox or ps3. You can't even watch dvd s off the WII which was extremely disappointing.
