Surprised me

I tried the jackfruit dumplings from Plantropy, and they were honestly perfect for a busy night. They’re super easy to make—straight from the freezer into the air fryer and ready in minutes. The flavor is really nice and savory, has a soft, satisfying texture. They feel filling without being greasy, which I liked, and they work well as a quick dinner, a snack, or even when guests are over. I also appreciate that they’re fully vegan and made without cholesterol, trans fat, soy, or gluten. Overall, they’re a simple, no-stress meal option.

I think this is a great option for those who don’t eat meat or want to reduce their intake. The flavor and texture really tricks your mind and makes you feel like you are eating meat! I still prefer real meat but I think this is a great option!

Great vegan alternative

I was very excited to try Plantropy Chicken Flavoured Jackfruit Dumplings. You can steam, pan fry or grill them. I tried the pan fry instructions and unfortunately it didn't work great for me. My dumplings stuck to the pan even with constant stirring, I didn't get them golden, and after the 4 minute time they asked for, my dumplings were still frozen in the center. I cooked them longer and they tasted great. They have a chicken soup like auroma and taste. I love that they are vegan with great nutrients. I realize my outcome is due to user error but I would love to try them again to get them fried golden.

Amazing clean vegan gyoza! You'll be surprised!

flavours were bold and strong. It has a bit of a strong pepper kick which I loved but this may not be your thing if you have a mild spice tolerance.

I decided to try it as a snack initally, but devoured all of them because they were so tasty. Opppsssyy.

I'm a fitness buff and I always care about the label and what I'm eating. I appreciate the clean ingredients, low cholesterol and no trans fats!

If I were blind-testing this, I'd say the flavour is amazing, especially if I didn't know it was vegan. I was pleasantly surprised. The product tasted like chicken and jackfruit.

Also, I would have thought there would be a bunch of chemicals to make it taste so good. But surprised again, the ingredients list is super clean!!

What a great vegan option!! I love that 10 dumplings has 64% fibre needs too! This was easy to cook up. Approx 12 mins and great for a single mom with a toddler on a busy schedule. I wouldn't recommend bringing this to a gathering unless your steaming it because they stuck to my pan quite badly and wasn't the prettiest end result compared to traditional potstickers. But perhaps if I chose an alternative method I would have had better presentation. But, I found it was perfect just on its own and fit my macros. Product gifted by Plantrophy! Unique dumplings with a twist

I recently had the chance to try the Plantropy Jackfruit Dumplings 🥟in exchange for my honest opinion, and they were a fun and unique find.

I picked them up at my local Real Canadian Superstore in the natural foods frozen section.

The flavor is unlike any other dumplings I’ve had before, savory with a subtle sweetness and a kick of heat 🌶️ that makes them stand out in a nice way.

I love that they’re vegan 🌱 and made with such a clean ingredient list. They’re free from cholesterol, rich in fibre, and contain no trans fats. Plus, they’re free from soy, gluten, sugar and sulphites which makes them a great option for so many different dietary needs ✅.

Prep was super easy, which I can appreciate on those busy nights. I pan-fried mine because that’s how I prefer my dumplings, and the texture was perfect: nicely chewy with the right amount of crisp on the outside. They ended up being a great main dish when I needed something quick but still satisfying.

Might be a bit spicy for younger kiddos or those with a sensitive palate, but these dumplings were a great discovery, and my husband and I really enjoyed them. They are convenient, vegan, and genuinely delicious. I’ll definitely be grabbing them again! 💙

I am not even vegan and actually really liked it!

I won't lie, I was hesitant about trying these especially after my sister's tofurkey one year. *Shudders*
HOWEVER, these dumplings made me a believer in vegan products actually tasting as they say they would! While dumpling exterior was a texture issue for me (this is definitely a me problem), the taste was delicious!! I will definitely being recommended these to my vegan friends who want dumplings.

Good for vegans

I loved the fact that it is so quick to cook. An easy snack for a busy day. The packaging is impressive - showcases the product well. The texture of the dumplings is good. I liked the flavor too but just not sure about the 'chicken' in the flavor.

I didn’t know jackfruit could be this good!

This was a great quick meal while on a 12 hour shift! I work in mental health and don’t always have time to make myself something nutritious to eat while on shift, but this was great to have for lunch at work! It took 5 minutes to prepare and it’s so delicious. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because (like a lot of gluten free products) the dumpling wrappings didn’t hold together very well and stuck to the pan.

Not vegan but not bad!

Quick and easy to make for busy mamas! It has a unique flavor - good to eat by itself or with a dip. Good as a side, appetizer or a late night snack. I'm not vegan but this was new for me and not bad!

Amazing meat alternative

I was actually shocked by how good this meat alternative was. The texture is super close to regular pepperoni, and the flavor has that perfect salty, smoky vibe without being greasy or heavy. It cooks really well too — I pan-fried a few pieces and they got that nice little crisp on the edges, then baked perfectly on my pizza.

What impressed me most is that it’s fully vegan and free of basically everything: no cholesterol, no gluten, no soy, no sugar, no sulphites, zero trans fat… but somehow still tastes amazing. It’s also high in fibre and really versatile, so you can use it for way more than just pizza.

My boyfriend tried it without knowing it was plant-based and actually loved it, which says everything. Definitely one of the best meat alternatives I’ve tried — flavor, convenience, and ingredients are all 10/10.
