Such a great addition to a plant based diet!

I really enjoyed them! I loved the texture and the little bit of spice. They are super quick to make and they are a great addition to a plant based diet or any diet for that matter. They are high in fiber, contain zero trans fat or cholesterol and they taste great. I love the crispy wrapper and soft jackfruit filling. I will be buying these again.

Dim Sum, but make it Vegan

Delicious vegan, gluten free dumplings that are ready in under 10 minutes.. I stir fried the Plantropy Jackfruit Dumplings in a pan and then steamed them. I found they needed to be cooked slightly longer than what the packaging stated, but we’re ready in less than 10 minutes from when I took the box out of the freezer. I enjoyed the texture and flavour of the product. These are perfect for an easy lunch, great as a snack, and make a tasty appetizer.

Thinking of jackfruit, I only knew one dish and dessert where I could use it as an ingredient, but I was amazed when I checked Plantropy and found out that they also have other unique jackfruit food products aside from these. I was really intrigued by these jackfruit dumplings, but they turned out to be very delicious. They really tasted like chicken and were a little bit spicy. If not for this review, I wouldn't have known that what I was eating contained no meat. Even my son didn't realize until I showed him the package. This is perfect if you are looking for a healthy alternative or if you just want to skip meat. It can be eaten as a snack or paired with rice and your favourite dipping sauce (tentsuyu for us!).

Great tasting Plant-based dumplings

We had some friends over who were vegan this week and we prepared some Plantropy Jackfruit Dumplings. We loved how they are completely vegan. The dumplings were chicken flavoured and I enjoyed the taste. They were so easy and quick to make. We especially loved that it was cholestrol-free, has zero trans fat, rich in fibre, and free from soy, gluten, sugar and sulphite free. These dumplings are a very healthy replacement to your regular store-bought dumplings.

Kind of tasteless

I was actually really excited to try these because I like jack fruit as a meat replacement. They smelled really good, and they actually looked really pretty even from frozen. However, when you pan fry them, you can tell that there's something weird about the skin - it gets "clunky" and sticks to the pan (maybe because it's gluten free?). It also took me twice the time to cook it as recommended on the box. If you look at the photo on the packaging, it clearly does not look the same as my picture. It's not even the same dumpling, and the ones on the photo are regular gyoza wrappers.
I was let down by the taste, as they were pretty tasteless. I probably wouldn't purchase these again.

I was pleasantly surprised by these Plantropy plant-based chicken-flavored dumplings! The texture was incredibly close to traditional dumplings, with a tender yet satisfying bite. Not a fan

I have to say I was not a huge fan of these dumplings. The dumpling wrapper itself was gummy and falling apart. The flavour of the filling was a bit strange and not similar to other dumplings I have eaten.

Just discovered a true plant-based gem – jackfruit

At first, I was skeptical, but these little wonders completely changed my mind! They’re soy-free and gluten-free, which is a huge plus for anyone mindful of their diet.

The texture is incredible – the juicy jackfruit filling is so close to chicken that it’s hard to believe it’s 100% plant-based! The blend of spices and herbs is just perfect, while the rice and tapioca flour dough stays soft and elastic after cooking.

Cooking them is pure joy! I tried both methods:
✔ Steamed (8 minutes and they’re ready!) – soft and delicate
✔ Pan-fried (4 minutes and done!) – crispy bottom for extra flavor
Personally, I loved the pan-fried version – that light crispy crust is just irresistible. 🤩

Another huge plus – no unnecessary additives! The protein comes from peas, making them a great choice for a healthy diet. 🌱

💰 Price? Mid-range, but considering the 280g portion and high-quality ingredients, totally worth it.

It was kind of tough to find these, had to call to make sure I secured. Good thing @goodnessme_naturalfoodmarket

These were interestingly tasty. So easy to cook. I usually steam dumplings but looked at the picture and wanted to pan fry (my first time). I unfortunately did not cook them from frozen, slightly defrosted, but I think I cooked them perfectly. The texture and flavours were tasty. Texture of jackfruit minced. Pan frying made the wrapper nice and crispy. I regret not buying the Jackfruit Kebabs - I'll for sure go back to Goodness Me! And buy.
