Taste healthy

It’s a nice and easy meal for side dish. My partner likes it but the smell might be a little too strong for me. It’s all plan based so it tastes pretty healthy to me. Will recommend for vegetarians.

Flavourful

My family and I tried it out out today. it was flavourful and the preparation was very easy. It came out a little clumpy and dry but I’m think that wouldn’t have happened if we used the stove method instead of the microwave. It was great to try. Would recommend to plant based friends

I received the purgrains plant-based side dish free to try and review for a honest opinion. I received the Thai garlic chili flavour and it was it was so tasty! The right amount of spice and flavour. Loved the variety of grains. I like that they send a coupon as well for my next purchase and I’ll definitely be purchasing this flavour again and I’ll try the others as well.

Good to have from time to time!

I received purgrains Thai Garlic Chili for free to taste and provide my honest opinion. The side dish was easy to prepare, it took me 3 mn to heat on the stove after adding 2 tablespoons of water. I liked the texture but not much the flavor. If you like Thai flavors then this might be for you. It is very convenient and time saving. I might buy it in the future.

Pur Grains Thai Garlic Chili

I had the opportunity to try Pur Grains Thai Garlic Chili flavoured side dish from chickadvisor in exchange for my honest opinion. This is meant to be a side dish made with quinoa, farro and brown rice. It's super simple to make and you can make it over the stove or in the microwave. I made it in the microwave which takes about 2 minutes with the heating and cooling time included. The rice is very flavorful and appetizing. The chili garlic and ginger flavors really shine through. I enjoyed it with some chicken and it really complimented the meal. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a plant based side dish.

Tasty as a main or side dish.

I love trying different grain mixes and this one by Purgrains is tasty. There is just enough spice to perk it up but not so much to sting your mouth or overpower the other flavors, like lime and tomato, in the mixture. It has a chewy texture not mushy.
I think that it can make a great side dish or just eaten by itself as main. Getting it ready to eat was easy, 90 sec in the microwave.
The only thing I did not like was the th 11 grams of sugar in the mix. There is a definite sweet taste, which may appeal to some but not for me.
A quick easy to use product, worth a try!

Tasty and convenient but not cost-effective

I was sent the PURGRAINS THAI GARLIC CHILI FLAVOUR product to try for free. I did enjoy the taste - great combination of grains with just a bit of spice. It served as an easy and convenient side dish. That being said, it was an incredibly small portion. Looking at how much this retails for, I definitely do not think it is worth the price. However, I wouldn't mind picking up a few to have in my pantry if on sale. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend this product.

Enjoyed the flavour, not the texture

Received a sample in exchange for an honest review. Convenient, microwaveable pouch. Quick and easy side dish. Agree with the others, texture was not my favourite. Enjoyed it more when I let it sit for a bit, so not right out of the package. Flavour was decent if you can get past the texture. Next time might try heating it in a frying pan, rather than microwave.

Very Flavourful

Almost too flavourful. I was interested in the grains portion of this product, but there was definitely, in my opinion, too much seasoning/sauce, it kind of smothered the fact that you may have been eating something healthy. I liked the texture and it would be good in small portions. I'll probably try a different flavour in the store next time. Thai was a bit too spicy/seasoned for my liking .

Loved the flavour!

I really enjoyed the Thai garlic chilli flavour on this! It had a little kick to it from the chilli pepper which made it very delicious! The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of is the texture but it’s very healthy for you as it’s made with quinoa and brown rice. The package is probably only big enough for two people as a side dish. But I definitely recommend!
