Love these little packets of honest to god goodness. So many flavors to chose from and I especially like the high fiber ones. My favorite is the berry flavors but there is not one that I can honestly say that I dislike. My only problem is I cannot stop at just 1 I usually do up 2 or 3 packs at a time.
I buy the super large family pack when it is one sale, and even eat them during the summer, a great way to start ones day.
I started eating the instant oatmeal that I bought for my grandchildren. Depending on the flavor it can be more sweeter than I like but I found it was fast and convenient and tastes pretty good. It is also good for you. I find it a win-win.You can usually get this on sale also.
Quick and super easy to make and tastes good. Even though I boil water in a kettle to make my oatmeal, it's still quick. I like it to cool a bit to thicken up and I like the texture of it. Compared to Nature's Path oatmeal, Quaker's doesn't have a weird oat/grainy/wheat taste to it and there's more texture (chewiness) to Quaker's oatmeal. I particularly like the taste of maple & brown sugar and the apple & cinnamon. The cookies and cream is alright, but the taste of it really doesn't meet my expectations. Otherwise, great product.
There was a time when this product was a staple in my household, but not anymore. The flavour has become so unpleasant and chemically that it's pretty hard to choke this stuff down now. Play a little extra for organic brands instead, if you care about your taste buds.
I like having Quaker Instant Oatmeal as a quick breakfast or snack! It is very convenient - you open the pouch, pour the contents into a bowl and add boiling water. Stir and add more boiling water depending on the consistency you prefer! I leave mine thick but my boyfriend prefers his thinner.
I would strongly recommend though that people refer to the nutritional information. I was surprised to realize that flavours such as Maple Brown Sugar and Apple Cinnamon have at least 12 grams of sugar per serving! Something to keep aware of, as most people add butter/margarine and brown sugar on top of their oatmeal (adding to the sugar intake).
This is the way I start off my day. It's healthy, has protein and easy to make, just add some hot water. It's full of fibre and protein. I would recommend to anyone who can't eat a big breakfast, but wants something in their stomach. Plus it's good for weight loss.
