too sweet
I tried these Quaker Overnight Oats in walnut, raisin and honey as it sounded delicious, but I found they were just too sweet and had a weird after taste that made me question if this product is really as healthy as they claim it to be. Not to mention I did not see any quinoa while eating it.
The idea sounded fun, quick, and easy and in line with all the food trends these days; healthy/cold cereal bowls. But when I ate it the next morning milk sprayed out on me as i had to tug on the lid to pull it off.
Not sure I will buy this product again as the price point is quite high at $3+ for 2 when I can buy a whole bag of oats for about the same.
Dry and not flavorful
I was excited to try this with the anticipation of ease and taste. It lacked flavor and was dry. It was cheaper than other comparable products but I’d rather pay a little more and try the higher end of overnight oat brands.
Skip it.
I bought these as a quick, convenient breakfast item, which they were definitely that, but the taste was no good. Both flavors were not good, I was very disappointed and will not purchase again.
Convenient for the ones on the go!
I have my own preference of oats to be more mushy rather than watery. I even let this steep for nearly 24 hours and not just overnight and I found that it didn't soak up enough. I love the convenience of the individual cup for travel and proportions. There is even a line inside that helps you but like I said it was too much for my taste.
The taste is good and it would be even more amazing without the raisins but that's a personal preference again.. I just added regular milk.
I would recommend this for people who don't have time to make their own oats or breakfast really.
Overnight Oats
It was tasty, but not my favorite. I wish they had more flavors like Apple & Cinnamon. I only tried this flavor because I don't like coconut and right now, there are only 2 flavors to choose from. It was filling which is a plus. Would buy more if they had more flavors. Its convenient and easy which is also a plus. Please more flavors because I really do like oatmeal a lot. Ate it as a kid too!!
Yark
Contrairement à l'autre saveur je n'ai pas du tout aimé. Au départ je n'aime pas les raisins secs donc c'est normal que je ne l'ai pas apprécié autant que l'autre un peu dispendieux.
Nice Concept - Bad Taste
Liked the concept of this and I am always looking for something quick, easy and hopefully somewhat nutritious in the morning for breakfast. First off the packaging is nice, you get two little containers for about $2.50 CDN which is pretty good, instructions on how to prepare as very straightforward and it is just as simple as pouring milk in and leaving overnight. The consistency is ok the morning when your supposed to eat them but I couldn't get over the taste. It tasted like raw oats and milk, while I know this is basically what it is, I didn't expect it to take like it. The bad taste is a deal breaker for me, I was disappointed and will not be re buying them.
Didn't Enjoy At All!
I was SO disappointed in the QUAKER OVERNIGHT OATS: WALNUT, RAISIN AND HONEY. I loved the idea that the product contains 100% whole grain oats, quinoa, flax seed, and other real, simple ingredients and even more so, I loved the fact that it was super easy. They come in packs of two so the first time I used regular 2% milk and the second time I used vanilla almond milk. Both were absolutely awful. The directions say to fill the container up to the line with milk and then stir it 'really good'. I stirred it each time for like 30 seconds making sure to get all the bits on the bottom and everything nice and soaked. Then I let it sit in the fridge for approximately 10 hours (the directions say between 6 and 24 hours!). You can actually see the big chunks of walnuts and raisins which was great! You can eat these cold or warm but I opted for the cool overnight oats in the fridge.
The nutrition value of the product is high... if you can choke it down. It is a good source of protein and fiber and has no artificial colors or flavours. BUT IT TASTES AWFUL. I am not even kidding when I say I put a spoonful in my mouth and took two small chomps and spit it out. I honestly don't even know what flavour they were going for? It tastes like sour nothingness. That's a terrible way of describing it but I actually have no words to describe the taste. There was still milk in the container so the oats did not soak it up all the way and were still hard. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I can make my own overnight oats at home that taste much better.
So Disappointing
I was really excited to try this flavour and it was not what I expected. the consistency is great and it definitely keeps you full. It doesn't look like a lot but it's actually plenty. The flavour was a bit bit bland though, I was expecting it to be sweeter. I used almond milk in mine. You also only get 2 per package and I they are about $3.50 which is think is a bit much.... maybe some of the other flavours taste better.
