Just ok

I got this Schwarzkopf hair mascara to try from ChickAdvisor. While the colour matched well, it took quite a few applications for it to get adequate coverage. I also found that, to really get to the roots, I transferred some to my scalp/face and that was hard to clean up and it was noticeable close up. I think for a quick job, it does what it promises to do, but you’d just be better off getting a box of hair dye and colouring your hair.

Unfortunatly did not work for me

I received the Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara in Black free to try. The colour match was good but I found that is takes way too long to apply. It is the main reason I would not buy it in the future. As for the regular price of $15.00, I find it is too expensive compared to the product I am currently using and that can be applied in a few seconds.

J'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer le hair Mascara de Schwarzkopf. Celui-ci était très facile d'utilisation. Il a couvert mes cheveux gris mais même si la couleur était noir, mes cheveux gris ne sont pas devenu noirs mais plutôt gris foncé. Ca dépanne quand même beaucoup entre 2 colorations. Il n'était pas mentionné avec le produit que celui-ci tache les mains et en séparant les mèches de cheveux, j'ai eu les mains tout tachés. Devrait peut-être venir avec des gants.

A Temporary Fix

I thought this was an interesting product when I first heard of it. I think if you are looking for a quick fix then this product will do the trick most of the time (weather dependent). The pocket size product allows you to store it in your purse and keep it with you when you're on the go. I think the product covers well and I think when you have only a bit to cover it works well. However, if you need to cover more area than it can become a more tedious process. For the price, it's okay, but I think it depends on how many uses you would get out of it. I know it's cheaper than a salon, but it is also not permanent. Overall, if you're looking for a quick fix, then I think this product will do the trick.

Great coverage, but...

I have dark hair, nearly black. Those pesky greys that are starting to appear stand out like a sore thumb against it! I was excited to try the hair mascara for a quick cover between dye jobs.

The colour match was great. You couldn't tell that I was using any product to mask the grey. It's also quicker than trying to single out and pluck one strand out of my thick hair when I'm running out the door.

The downside is that when I run my fingers through my hair, I would occasionally see a dark smudge on my hand from the mascara. I'd worry about not noticing it on my hand and that I would get it on my clothes. For the price, I'd prefer a product that stays put.

Good for quick touch ups

This product is ok. It is good for touch-ups in between salon visits. Much like mascara that you use on your eyelashes, it gives good coverage but it's not permanent or semi-permanent so it washes out easily. It's really convenient, I used it to cover up a few of my grays and my mom used it on her hairline before putting on her wig and both of us really liked it.

The wand makes it really easy to apply, and if you feel like you need a touch up throughout the day, you can easily do so. I have dark brown hair and my mother has black hair, and both of us were able to use the black mascara with ease. It looks natural and doesn't transfer easily so after application you shouldn't be afraid to touch your hair.

The suggested retail price is $15 and I think that that is quite reasonable. I prefer to dye my hair and let it be between session, but I can definitely see the benefit in it (it's on my mom's dresser for the past few days.)

I think this is a good product and I would recommend it.

Works okay

Although I don't have too many grey hairs yet, I do have a few that I've noticed over the past year or so, so was excited to try out this product. I was worried that there would be a chemical-like smell like you get with some hair dye but was pleasantly surprised this wasn't the case. The color match was okay (black) particularly now in the winter where I'm not in the sun as much, but can see the color being a bit more off and obvious in the summer when my hair color lightens a bit. As I only had specific hairs I needed to color, I found it was hard to keep the touch-ups to only that specific hair - often I managed to get some color on surrounding hairs as well. Maybe I'm just not great at using the mascara brush but I'm guessing it might be an effective way to color roots quicker if there are more than a few strands in an area. I was worried this would rub off on my pillow but was happy that this wasn't the case.

Not the greatest product

I was very excited to be chosen to review this product. In theory it seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately when I tried it, the product did not glide onto my hair smoothly but rather left clumps of the product and was noticeable where I applied it.

I did attempt a second application and had the same results with my hair feeling hard where the product was applied.

I unfortunately would not purchase this product or try in the future

Gray coverage

I found this product to be of good use however when opening the tube it was hard to figure out if there was any product on the mascara brush. I had to pump it a few times before i could visible see the product.

It was effective and was good for covering gray hair.

Not for me

I found this product to be effective but it was too dark for me, the colour did not match and often seemed unnatural. The coverage was nice but for my needs the colour matching wasn't for par.

For the price it's not worth the money, at least that's what I feel.

I would not recommend this product to a friend or family.
