J'avais peur au début car je n'ai jamais coloré mes cheveux. C'est une bonne expérience. S'utilise facilement et donne de beaux reflets à mes cheveux. Je suis très heureuse d'avoir pur l'essayé.

I've got too much grey

I received this product free for my honest opinion. #gotitfree

I currently have a couple inches of roots due to not being able to dye my hair because I'm pregnant. I tried applying the mascara on both wet and dry hair and I found it made my hair look oily. I was hoping the product would be lighter like the spray on kind. However if you had less grey and shorter roots, I do think this would be a quick excellent option. The wand is flexible and if you just had a couple spots to do it'd be as simple as applying, let it dry and comb it through.

Whether you are using just a tiny bit or a large amount ensure you wash your hair thoroughly as it could end up on your towel.

While it isn't for me with my current hair situation, I would still recommend it for shorter roots or just strands of grey. It absolutely provides long lasting coverage of greys and you'd be able to concentrate the area, something you couldn't do with a spray.

A bit sticky to touch

I got this product free to try. At first I thought this might be an interesting product as I wanted to cover up my roots. I have black hair and have dyed it medium brown so I thought it could cover up the roots where my natural hair color has grown back out. However, I find that the texture of the mascara is a bit clumpy and my roots feel a bit sticky even after it drying for a long time. I think it would definitely make more sense to cover up small strands of white or grey hair, but should not be used excessively otherwise it gets a bit clumpy. The color was good and matched my hair color. For $15.99, the value seems just alright since this is not a permanent hair dye. You could probably purchase a packet of hair dye for the same price or less and would have more permanent effect. I probably would not recommend it to friends unless they want a quick and easy way of doing a touch up for their white or grey hair.

Hair Mascara

I liked the hair mascara. I received the brown color and it blended in really well. Noone would ever notice it which is great. It's great for root coverage. I don't have gray hair but I believe it would work well for covering that as well. I would recommend it to others for covering roots. It is great for that kind of coverage.

A fantastic quick fix

When you’re in a bind and you don’t have time to dye your roots or head to the salon, this is a GREAT product to get you through! It’s colour was very true to what I was expecting and matched very well! It smelled pretty good (not chemically) and didn’t make my roots look greasy at all! It was VERY easy to apply and even looks great close to the scalp! Very natural to even fill in some sparse spots from Post Partum Hair loss!! The ONLY downside to this, is that it rubs off pretty easily, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing it if you plan on going swimming or for a walk in the rain, or even to bed if you like your pillows. This is a great way to make your hair look it’s best for a day wear though! I liked it a lot!

I’m a believer...

Upon receiving this product, I must admit I was sceptical! I was in desperate need of a root touch up, and the thought of a grey covering mascara sounded almost too good to be true!

Luckily I was wrong!

On my first attempt of application, I did go a little heavy handed, in a desperate attempt to rid myself of all traces of grey, and wound up with a few streaks that were a bit “sticky”. Once I calmed down and read the instructions, I used light feathery strokes, being careful to clean excess product off the wand. To my amazement, the greys vanished before my eyes and after just a few moments, my hair was dry to the touch!

Medium brown was a nice shade match, although in the future I’d love to see the addition of more colours, including perhaps a light brown.

This is a convenient product, that will see you through the time between salon visits. It washes out easily with shampoo yet stays put through out a busy day! Win, win!

Worked better for me, compared to other root touch ups

I was able to test out Schwarzkopf hair mascara through the Chickadvisor program. It is a product that looks exactly like lash mascara and is used to temporarily cover grey roots and strands of hair. I got the medium brown formula, which I felt was a little dark for me. I remember hearing a tip a few years ago about covering grey rootsin a pinch,with lash mascara. I did try it once or twice and found it too messy. However it did sound like a good idea, and this product is made specifically for hair touch-ups. I like the mascara wand application. I felt that it gave me good coverage and was superior to other root touch ups I’ve tried in the past. I do have over 50 percent grey hair, and I home colour my hair a medium brown shade. When my roots come in it is pretty obvious. When I received this product I had quite a bit of grey roots showing, as I was overdue for a colour. It was too much to get a really good result from the product, but the hair mascara would be great for roots just beginning to show. I applied it to the grey hair at my temples and I was happy with the coverage. The price, I find on the high side for what you get. However I plan to buy it for temporary touch ups of grey roots

Great for touch ups

I am in the position of going grey. I don't have 'roots', instead I have random strands of grey hair throughout my brown hair - which means root retouchers have never been of any use to me, but I've still been left wondering how best to cover greys without dying my whole head. When I received this free product to test from ChickAdvisor I was excited to try it out. Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara has proven to be the answer to my problem. The wand is plastic and it makes it really easy to apply the product to those random stray grey hairs. I found the colour (medium brown) to be perfect and it covers the grey completely and doesn't transfer, yet washes out easily. I just wish it didn't wash out after one wash because it means I have to apply it every other day. A bit tedious for me. I loved that this product allowed precision targeting of these areas. It was easy to use and provided great coverage with just a couple of sweeps with the wand (just like a mascara brush). Really easy to apply, no clumping. I would recommend this product if you don't mind reapplying it after every wash.

Hair mascara

J'ai essayer dernièrement le mascara pour camoufler les cheveux blanc, la repousse entre autre. Lors de l'application sur mes racines il y avait beaucoup de surplus alors j'ai du prendre un mouchoir pour bien étendre le surplus et bien l'étaler aussi , car la seule application avec la brosse mascara ne camoufle pas tous les cheveux blanc. La couleur était Impec par contre, je ne voyais pas de différence entre là où j'avais mis du mascara et là où il n'y en avait pas.
