SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER: to like or to dislike?

I have received SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER through our wonderful Product Review Club. I have used it several times but I am still unable to decide if I like it or not. Yes it does cover your roots, but it’s only easy to apply on your hair part. Imagine applying dark brown spray paint on your hair. That’s exactly what this is. It leaves a dry dusty residue that brushes off, so avoid touching your hair once applied. On the other hand, covering your part gives a fuller hair look, so that’s a plus. But honestly, I am not too impressed and would rather use a touch up hair color.

J'ai quelques cheveux blanc mais pas assez pour les teindre! Alors se produits est arrivées a point pour les cacher!! Un petit pchit et le tour est jouer!!

Good product for a quick fix

Having a few grey hair, I was eager to try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher. It claims to be on-the-go product that instantly covers grey roots. That promise is definitely delivered.

The bottle is neat, small, easy to grip. The application is precise. The bottle is under lot of pressure so even small push on the nozzle provides fast, strong stream of color. Color is applied nicely and evenly, no need to massage it into hair. It dries almost instantly.

I personally did not enjoy the cool air from the bottle and was expecting a bit better coverage. But I applied a bit more color and it nicely stayed on until I washed it off.

I will likely purchase this product as it is a handy "must" for a quick fixes

Quick and easy

I used it to hide the few greys I have, works great. Quick and easy which is what I like best. Also appreciate that I can use as much or as little as I need and am not committed to the whole package.

Very surprised

I had tried other brands and was very disappointed since they left streaks and leaks, but this one works amazingly well. it covers my grey and even if it rains it stays on. I also like that it stays there for a couple of days with no touch ups and it does not make my hair stiff or look dirty. I must add that it also matches my color very nicely and looks great :-)

Not For Me

I tested out the retoucher a couple times but spraying this on my hair just isn't for me. I don't have enough gray to need this. This isn't a bad product just not a step I want to add into my routine.

Meh ... Not so great

I was not a fan of this product. I found it did not look natural with my hair color. It felt greasy (Maybe because I touched it before it was completely dry?) I personally would not buy this product.

Schwarzkopf® Root Retoucher™. is the worst colour product I have ever used. It makes my hair feel very yucky. When I touched my hair or scratched my scalp I would get the product stuck under my fingernails. I would not recommend this product. I would never use or buy this product again. #tryRootRetoucher #gotitfree

I would buy this product since there's no mess to use it!

I found this product to be very good since it was very easy to use! With a little spray my grey's where eliminated. I did not mess up my bathroom or anything!
