Covers grey but leaks

I received this sample #gotitfree of Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher to try. I do use root coverup each month as I wait for my next hair touch up so was excited to give it a try. I have been using it this last week and it is easy to apply. It also was a fairly good match to my hair colour. The only thing I did not like was it dripped when you spray it. I tried spraying it different ways such as further away but it just dripped more, the more I used it.

Not something I'll use again

While I like the concept of this product, the product itself did not impress me.
The spray did cover my roots as promised, but after touching my hair, even hours later, left my hands black. Of course, I wound thorn touch my faceand neck and the result was not pretty!
This is not a product I'd use again and not one of recommend.

Not for me

Thank you to ChickAdvisor for the opportunity to try SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER. I was excited to try this product as I am trying not to color my hair too often and thought this would be a perfect way to cover my roots. I was expecting the product not to be as watery as it was and I guess a bit more powdery. The product does do a good job covering your roots but I found that for my thin hair the product showed too much on my scalp. I would recommend this product for someone with a fuller head of hair as it might work better.

#gotitfree I found it to be to dark. It did not blend with my natural colour well. When washing it out I found it to stay on my scalp days after washing it out.

If you have very short hair, one can tell that its a spray because it leaves your scalp black, its also feels very dry and flaky. It is also very messy. it just doesnt make sense.

It's alright, but not great

I received the dark brown from Chick Advisor for review. The product works the way it says it does, but it doesn't last very long and can look obvious if you have thin hair.

Not for me

Schwarzkopf root retoucher is a spray on hair colour that covers your grey hair and your roots. I thought it was a little difficult to apply myself because I found it hard to see what I was doing, so I had my daughter spray my hair for me. I tried the dark brown spray and unfortunately it did not match my hair colour and it was too light. The black spray would have been too dark, so I must be somewhere in between those colours. I don't have grey hair, I have white as snow "greys", so it took several sprays to completely cover it. The end result looked greasy and unnatural. I don't think I will be buying this in the future because it didn't match my hair colour and I don't feel confident enough applying it. #tryRootRetoucher #CreateYourStyle "gotitfree

Great colour match but has some serious flaws!

I used the product on two separate occasions so far. I had pretty long regrowth and a lot of new white coming in. I have naturally dark brown hair and the colour of the dark brown Root Retoucher was a near perfect match. The nozzle dispenses product quite evenly which made application pretty easy. The major drawback though was the amount of colour bleed. I tend to touch my hair a fair bit when it's down and my fingers went brown. It was snowing on one of the occasions I used it and ended up with colour dripping down my scalp and face. Certainly not ideal in either scenario!

Disappointed

I was super excited to try this product, but when I first used it I was shocked on how fast it sprays our and how cold the bottle gets. Makes it hard to control and because it comes our fast it doesn't cover all the grey area plus I noticed it ended up being all over the counter, me, asking and mirror. It shoots our pretty fast. I didn't like the coverage and had to try it several times and still no covering. Plus it's very sticky! #gotitfree

Great for Emergencies

I did not realize that this was a 'spray on' product so that was a bit of a surprise when I opened the box. Very nice packaging by the way, I kept the box for re-use.
The product does not come with directions. Probably it's self explanitory – spray on hair . . . but a reminder to wear gloves would have been nice. This is not a one person application unless you are used to doing your own styling – I am not – I can't even braid my own hair. Still I managed OK.
The photos are also not really do it yourself material LOL, but I think they show the coverage. Which I will upload when my computer and iPhone talk to each other . . .
So while not the easiest product to use, it did cover well and I like the colour. Too bad it washes out in one shampoo, one of my criteria for root coverage is that it last until I have time to go to the salon.
Overall , I would buy this in an emergency where I did not have time for a Nice & Easy
