    Not for me.

I cannot say that I liked this product. It did seem to work but I found it messy. I would rather use a brush to apply so it goes directly on the right spots without making a mess. Not for me.

    Not what I had expected

I received the Schwarzkopf root retoucher in dark brown free from Chick Advisor to try and It wasn't quite what I had expected. It was easy enough to use and the colour matched up good with my hair colour but it was kind of messy. You should have plastic gloves on when you use it. It sprays on in spots and you need to work it in so you don't see brown circles on your skin. Without gloves your fingers turn brown. It does wash off easy though. When it's dry, your hair is left with a crusty feeling and it's not soft at all. I could feel it in my hair all the time and if I ran my hands through my hair later on in the day, my fingers still turned brown. It also turns the comb brown when you brush out your hair.
The root retoucher is a great idea for quick and easy touchups when you don't have time to do a full colour. I just don't really like how it feels on my hair. I would like it to feel more natural and not like my hair is too full of hair product.

    Messy to use

I received this product free to try and review. I tried the product on my roots on the part of my hair and that worked ok, though I felt it took the shine out of my hair. The problem came when I tried it on my hairline and on my temples. It dripped it my face and chest. Didn’t feel it covered the gray all that well but I was reluctant to keep spraying product. Would not use it again.

    Not for me

I received SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER for free as part of the ChickAdvisor product review program. I was expectingsomething similar to, if not better than the other root touch up products on the market. Unfortunatley, my expectations were not met. I found the product (even when shaken) to spray out in a splutter, causing a patchy uneven mess. It's too paint like, rather than a powder formula that can be combed through hair for optimal distribution.

i have to think about it, probably not

I received this item for free to use as a tester and to report my findings. I would like to state I am a great fan of many of the other Schwarzkopf products on the market. Unfortunately I found the Root Retoucher difficult to aim on the desired areas. I had unnecessary residue on my forehead and drippings on the floor and tub/sink. I found the areas of my hair that I sprayed on sticky and feeling crisp as time went on. Part of the problem may be that my grey spots are small in diameter, One positive, my hair felt better the second day and the grey roots were well coloured.

    Mixed Feelings.

While I like that the spray covered my grey, I didn't like the powder residue mess that stains on every thing. I found that the little can is almost gone only after using a few times around my temples. This could become costly to buy on a regular basis. Also, you need to be extra careful to spray the grey areas only especially at the temples as it gets onto your skin and streaks when you wipe it off. It does, however, cover the grey and matched my hair colour; so, it's really handy if you're in between colourings or you need to cover a bit of grey roots. You need to wash it out completely and try not to comb or brush your hair afterwards as the powder will fall and sprinkle onto your clothes and vanity. Mixed feelings.

I'm on the fence about this one!

I was so thrilled to have received the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Brown for free from ChickAdvisor! The colour blended very well with my own hair colour which is somewhat multi tonal. I really thought the product worked very well covering up my grey and grow out along my part line however it was a mess to use close to my face, at my temples and hairline. I felt that the nozzle made the product come out with such force that it splattered and then it was such a mess to try to wipe up. I also noticed splatter on my bathroom vanity. The texture of my hair after application felt quite fine but the scent of the product was not very pleasant. I'm sorry to say that I would only recommend use of this product for one's grow out along the part and not for application to a precise spot. Thank you ChickAdvisor for the opportunity to try Schwarzkopf's Root Retoucher!

    Didn't cover my grays

I was disappointed with this cover up product. I was sent dark brown and it didn't effectively cover my gray hair. I tried numerous times with no success. My gray hairs concentrate around my temples and around my ears. I was disappointed because I love, love the Schwarzkopf hair colour. It's actually the only hair colour I use. Didn't work for me. But, maybe better for lighter hair.

Not Worth The Hassell To Messy

I was going out one evening and needed to hide some grey hair so I decided to try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Brown. First I must say it did work well to cover the areas and hide the greys and roots however it didn't look natural and i didn't like the smell of it nor the nozzel on it. I found it was very messy and if you touched your hair even after it was dry you would get black on your hands and fingernails and it was hard to get off even on my face after doing my makeup. It did the job but was such a hassel and very messy and did not look natural at all and it took me 2 shampoos to wash it out of my hair. I really didn't like this product at all and I personaly would not recommend it or buy it. #tryRootRetoucher #CreateYourStyle #gotitfree
